Naomi nodded as Arlene gave her the supplies. "Thank you." She was grateful for the medical supplies. And the...syringe full of whatever. The medical supplies at the very least would come in handy

The intercom and the clicking of the door distracted Beatrix enough that she forgot to tell Maki what was in the syringe before the woman left. Oh well. Hopefully, she'd heed the Bride's advice concerning it.
Thankful the painkillers had kicked in, Beatrix hefted the sheet containing her weapon-making supplies and slung it over her left shoulder. It still hurt to move her right arm, but it was tolerable. She didn't have a weapon at the ready, but F30 was just around the corner.
The Bride felt much better with a sword in her hands - one she had been given the right to kill with. She returned to her room and undid the wrappings so she could sling the sword across her back, the hilt peaking up above her shoulder. Once that was done, she practiced drawing it and going through various forms to learn the sword's feel.
Once she was satisfied, she sheathed it and picked up the very full pillowcase. Now, to repay a debt.
Once again back in her room, Beatrix picked up a lab coat and both nurses' uniforms. She folded them under her arm and left again. Now, to see to her wards.
It was then that the intercom crackled to life, and the Head Doctor delivered his usual cheery goodnight message. Elle smirked at Lia and set the chair down firmly in front of the door.
"Oh yeah?" she replied haughtily to her roommate's insult, climbing onto the chair before the lights went out and the speaker came back on. "Think I'm playing nowHer fingertips glowed briefly with electrical energy before the sparks coalesced into a ball dancing over the center of her palm. In the cold blue light, she glanced down at Lia before plunging her fist into the intercom speaker, interrupting the evil version of the goodnight speech. She sent as much electricity as she could into the system, hoping that it was enough to reach Landel's office and screw with his equipment
( ... )
Lia looked startled as Elle set the chair down, but did not protest the strange shift. She used the time to gain more distance, palming her flashlight out of the coat as the best of possible makeshift weapons in case the other girl shifted once more to the offensive.
The glow of the electricity did not startle her nearly as much as one might expect; it looked to her not unlike witchlight or fire, though there was a quality there that reminded her of lightning. She tensed, reaching instinctively for the hundredth futile time for the core of her own power.
And watched as her roommate attacked the box issuing the head doctor's mad chatter out into the room. That was unexpected.
She froze with a short, startled gasp in the pitch black, even her breathing stilling for a few seconds, instinctive reaction to the denial of her senses. Moving cautiously, she shifted a few silent feet from where she'd been standing, gaze trained on the spot where she'd last seen Elle.
Okay, so she'd broken something... That was good, right? Even if she'd only broken her own stuff. It would definitely tick Landel off. Possibly.
The dilemma was getting down before Lia attacked her again. Elle hopped off the chair, landing a bit awkwardly but finding her feet with relative ease. She needed to get the hell out of here before she got her brain fried, or whatever Lia might do with her abilities working.
She released a wide blast of electricity in the direction of where Lia had been standing, backing up towards the door as she did so.
Rather than lunging for an attack, Lia had kept moving, light steps carrying her in a careful arc around the edge of the room. Even so, there was simply just not that much room to maneuver. The periphery of the blast caught her, and her pained gasp had only just enough vocalization to be called a cry. For a moment, her body refused to respond as she wished, muscles locking as the shock hit her.
She dropped to the ground in an inelegant and not entirely planned heap, carrying her behind the cover of the desk. The ache in her chest and the twitching spasms of pain along her limbs sharpened her temper rather than dulling it, and cold fury spilled through her in a wave, radiating a faint but palpable chill into the air of the small room.
Michiru didn't waste any time in bidding goodbye to Tsubaki. She would have liked to invite the girl to keep an eye on her; she seemed nice enough. However, that wasn't possible tonight. She had promised to meet with Seiya, and for better or worse, she would keep that appointment. They needed to find Usagi, and for that they needed secrecy.
She grabbed nothing more than her flashlight and left everything else in her room, save for a few pens which Michiru stashed in the waistband of her sweatpants. She couldn't imagine that she would need them, but it was better to be safe than sorry. With her light off, she made her way towards the end of the hall. There seemed to be some sort of scuffle coming from one of the rooms, but she ignored it. It wasn't her problem.
In almost the same fashion as yesterday, the day went by far too quickly. The day before, Atoli didn't know what to expect, but today... She hardly was able to do anything with Haseo at all! They didn't find anything, but that didn't matter; she was happy to see her friend, and ever since they separated them at the park because the end of the day was drawing near and they had to go, Atoli hadn't seen him. She wanted to ask more, perhaps maybe find out where he was in this place... Maybe even tonight, they could continue what they intended to pursue in the town.
Atoli was a little upset, but she knew it wasn't hopeless-- there was definitely another way she could reach him, come the opportunity. It was a shame her Flash Mail was absolutely useless here. Things would be so much easier!
In the end, the lights went out again just like yesterday, and that scary voice came on... It was a little easier to understand this time, now that she was slightly more familiar with things. Although, if there was one thing Atoli would never understand
( ... )
Tamaki did seem to be a little brighter than he'd been last night. Maybe that meant things were ok. He had his doubts, but he didn't voice them, not yet.
Once they'd gotten outside the door Honey had to admit he felt a little better. The cramped room made him restless and uneasy, "I'm glad to see you smiling Tama-chan! I heard you might be sad so me and Takashi came to cheer you up."
He held up the stuffed pink rabbit he'd been carrying around. "Ano... I know it isn't Kuma-chan, but you can hold Usa-chan if you want... u-um, for a little while!" He was hesitant to let go of his own comfort item, but Tamaki might need it more than he did. "Mm... because Tama-chan has always helped everyone a lot. So we want to help Tama-chan too." He looked up at the tall blonde with his large brown eyes. If Tamaki didn't want to talk about his problem, then that was ok, but he wanted the boy to know that he still had his makeshift family around to help him, even if they weren't all there or didn't have fancy clothes or cakes

"Oh!" Tamaki smiled warmly. How terribly touching! "No, it's alright. You keep Usa-chan," he said, eyes lighting up.
And then the inevitable, and Tamaki's smile faltered just a little.
"I'm alright," he promised. "I'm not sad anymore, really. I...was, but it's okay now. There are just some terribly bad people here, who like to hurt others, and one of them tried to hurt me. But he didn't."
Thankfully. Tamaki didn't want to think about what would have happened if day hadn't come.

Once they were outside, Mori moved to the outer edge of the group, keeping a careful watch on the hallway. He didn't think monsters would come this far, but he didn't want to risk it. He'd seen that...thing in the other hallway and he wasn't about to let anything like that get to Mitsukuni or Tamaki.
But then Mitsukuni started talking and Mori took his eyes off the hall to watch Tamaki's reaction. His smile changed and Mori knew it was still a sore spot. It likely would be for awhile. The Host Club had gone behind Tamaki's back before to protect him and Mori was more than willing to do it again if it meant keeping whatever psycho tried to hurt him from repeating his mistake. Looking at Mitsukuni for a moment, he decided he'd tell his cousin later and then looked off down the hall again, his hand tightening on the closet rod as if to convey how dearly Tamaki's attacker was going to pay.

If Tamaki was claiming to be fine, it was hard for Honey to really do anything for him but continue to worry. He noticed the way Tamaki's smile faded briefly and knew Takashi had to have seen it too. He hadn't expected all the answers, but he'd hoped the boy might open up a little. Honey could almost feel Takashi's anger and had to force a sweet, cherubic smile himself. They'd talk about it later for certain, if someone was trying to hurt Tamaki, even if they hadn't succeeded, action was definitely necessary.
"Hnn," Honey appeared thoughtful as he pulled Usa-chan back into hug. "Well I'm really glad you're feeling better," he said with a decisive nod. "The Host Club doesn't run as good without our leader." He smiled sweetly up at the other boy.
