There was no ignoring the impending struggle in the Sun Room below, nor how it must have been indicative of far worse cruelties in places unseen, but Anthy did well to separate herself from it. A darker instinct of hers; one she had supposed would shed as she grew, blossoming in the freedom of the world outside, following in Utena's

"I'm afraid, woman, that this is as far as you'll go," he said, voice laced with malice and dark intentions. Kunzite continued to walk forward; though she was at a reasonable distance from him, and the area in which they had to quarrel was large, he was renewed tonight, somehow, and unlike previous nights...tonight would be different. Tonight, at last, he would be as he once was. Tonight, he was whole.

"Oh? Is this your place?"

She wondered if he aimed to fight with her if and when she was well again. Even whole, she knew little of how to fight her own battles. Perhaps this was something she was meant to learn. She stepped towards the chapel again, leaving the unfortunate souls now under the mercy of this man to do as they would. She hadn't the power to save anyone in this moment, but perhaps someday she would find it.

Sousuke looked down the hallway and, seeing two other patients, he paused. The tail end of the sentence didn't sit well with Sousuke. Narrowing his eyes, the sergeant drew his knife--the one he saved for special occasions.
"Hinasaki," he whispered. "We're going to move quickly and quietly. That male patient is hostile."

She squeezed Sousuke's hand once, and felt an unhealthy mix of fear and adrenaline flow through her, like being upside down on a rollercoaster. "R-ready," she stuttered quietly.

"I let one go," he snarled, though it felt good to defy him... "I'll not make the same mistake twice."

The sergeant extended his knife ahead of him, keeping an arm back to push Miku out of the way should it become necessary.
"Let us pass, or I will attack," Sousuke said, rather formally. It was the only warning he'd give, especially since Miku was there and in a prime position to be hurt by this aggressive patient.

There were few people in the next hallway. One didn't feel quite like a human, and Renamon was quite partial to moving past him. She cautiously started through the hall, hoping to avoid whatever danger the man presented.

It was almost kind of calming, but Renamon suddenly looked on edge, and it didn't take much to figure out why. Among the few others in the room, one of them looked as though they weren't on their side for the night. Unlike the last time she encountered this, Yukari could figure out why ( ... )

There were a few other people in this hallway, and it didn't seem like any of them were the-thing-that-wouldn't-die from last night. The problem was that he didn't know who to watch out for. What was it he'd heard it called? Special Counseling? Dammit, he didn't want to have to deal with that right now. He didn't know how much of a fight the other two could put up, but Junior by himself might not be enough for more than just a distraction. Just so long as it wasn't last night all over again, he supposed. "Keep an eye out and stay close," he said, staying close to the wall and gesturing the other two to follow him. "Anyone comes after us, run like hell either down the hall or into the chapel over there. I'll back you up."
Reply
Stay close. Right. He nodded and followed along, keeping nearby Atoli. If they had to run, he didn't want her left behind.
So...what exactly was out there, anyway, and did he want to know?
Reply
"O- okay," she quietly replied, her eyes darting between where they were going and the action happening. Atoli wanted to suggest helping whoever was in trouble in that situation, but knowing she wasn't in charge here (and if Junior said to run, it was probably for good reason), she decided she would listen to what was instructed of her, instead.

He crossed the hallway over to the east wall, keeping an eye on the fight, and looked up at the doors for the pharmacy. Once he'd found it, he went over and felt around for the knob. Damn, locked. Maybe they could break it, like they'd done to that nurse's station on his first night. He waved the other two close and gestured up at the door. "We need to break it down," he whispered. "I'll need your help." Junior knew there was no way in hell he was going to be able to do it by himself, and lock-picking wasn't exactly a strong point for him, since most doors from his time had automatic locks.

"What's important about matches? Fire." He replied sagely. "You burn things with it. Like cigarettes. And...cigarettes."
Badou Nails: King of Creativity. This was why he'd never make it as a pyromaniac. He'd just end up burning down a cigarette factory and crying about it when the smoke ran out.
"Hey Jiggle n' Bounce, let me take the lead for a while ok?"
Reply
But what kind of name was freaking Jiggle n' Bounce? She had a face, too! And a name. Two, actually. Two whole names. And neither of them had anything to do with boobs. Even though they were kinda jiggly. Still, she could take it if she was gonna dish it. And she had to admit she didn't really mind a man taking the lead. "Okay, oh fearless addict. That guy better not have had any clever ideas about giving him any stupid nicknames. 'He of fair eyes' was as stupid as he was going to put up with ( ... )

He passed the flashlight along the walls, getting his bearings as they walked. Assuming they'd gone up the right set of stairs, he just needed to keep walking in this direction, right? Simple stuff. Judging from the rails on the other side of the hall, this should be the right way.
Badou sighed silently. Sure they were in a bad horror flick, but navigating was sort of boring as hell. He let himself eavesdrop seeing as how he had all of nothing to contribute. Had Alkaid mentioned that her boyfriend was from the same world as her? He couldn't really remember. Whatever. He shrugged and moved on into the next hallway.
