Night 20: Intercom, Early Night

Dec 23, 2006 07:07

The intercom came on, though when it did, the Head Doctor's voice wasn't the first thing that could be heard. The faint, crackling sound of an old version of Jingle Bells echoed through the halls, all nostalgic warmth and kitschy tradition within its lyrics twisted into a haunting, eerie anthem ( Read more... )

"Evenly matched, you two. Fight and die on each other's swords. This is what you both wanted. The powers of the Great Evil King and the Great Hero! Now take it!"

Ari was surprised at this... He was giving them power? No.. He was trying to adjust the world again!

Ari woke again to the sound of pleasant music and darkness. And...he was lying down? Quickly, the boy sat up, feeling the bed beneath him. What was going on?

Wesker's peaceful sleep had been interrupted by Christmas music, of all things. The sheer oddity of it was enough to postpone him being angry for a few moments as he sat up and opened his eyes to the darkness ( ... )

Naruto slept plain through the intercom voice, the music, and the loud screech. He only grumbled once and violently turned over in his bed, twisting sheets. Apparently it all had a delayed effect; twenty seconds after the intercom clicked off he suddenly sat bolt upright. White sheets twisted messily around his frame ( ... )
