With a sigh, he realized sitting around and moping wasn't going to help his mood. Perhaps he should find Valyn. Shadow always felt better when his cousin was around. He stood up and walked over to the door, hoping that he wouldn't be hit with another attack by Cats. He didn't think he could spare the limbs.

He cursed again the moment he was outside the room - the least he could have done was gotten a description of the people he would be working with that night. Armand's words floated through his head - who to trust, and who not to - and that left him feeling more nervous about the night than he was already.
Pushing the nerves and the voice that came with them aside, he turned on the flashlight and moved quickly through the hallway and out.
