An alarm suddenly rang through the halls, continuing for a full minute before quieting down again. The Head Doctor's subsequent announcement was brief, though urgent.
"CODE 4 EMERGENCY IN PROGRESS. Location: Second floor, East Wing, North Hall 2-B. ALL SECURITY PERSONNEL REPORT AT ONCE. And to our patients: I apologize, but our staff will be unavailable for the next few hours."
The intercom clicked off.
