NIGHT 27: HALLWAY OUTSIDE OF SUNROOM

Oct 06, 2007 12:38

[from here]

And there they were: the doors to the Sun Room!

But where was Allen?! Rhode stood at the doors, tapping her foot and looking around. There had been such a gathering here last time, so why wasn't anyone here now? Not that she cared for anyone past her favorite white haired exorcist, but she had still expected to at least find someone ( Read more... )

Hurrying past the sun room, Rukia was just glad that she didn't feel the oppressive heaviness of Ichimaru's, or any of the others shinigami's, reiatsu tonight.

Unlike the other hallways, this one was fairly crowded. Rukia and Renji avoided the groups of people, and turned into the first M-Block.

His run had emded with a very valuable lesson learned. On top of all his other weaknesses, in Landel's, mere running made him sweat, and by the time he came to the doors of the Sun Room, Hiei was nearly gasping for air. It was insane.

Thankfully he was the first to arrive, so he wouldn't have to suffer through Kurikara's insults or Kurama's motherly lectures.

He let his Jagan close again, just in time to avoid the first pulse of a headache, and waited for the other two as he caught his breath.

Rhode blinked as some rather short person came running up and stopped a little away from her, panting. Definitely not Allen, no white hair, cute little curse mark, or deformed red arm to speak of. She'd never seen him before. He was so short too! Even shorter than her without the hair, and that was a feat!

Her foot stopped its tapping, though her arms remained crossed and her mood stayed relatively annoyed. He wasn't Allen. That fact alone would have set her to scolding him. Luckily for him, another of his qualities diverted her attention. "You're not human~" she commented, giving him a playful smile.

He wasn't like the non-humans Allen liked to hang around, but a least his heart was present. It frustrated Rhode when she had to deal with Emily and her lack of emotions. Being able to get readings on others, however faint, was one of the reasons why she preferred the night time over the day.

Great. Hiei couldn't even manage to escape the persistent intrusions of uninvited others even when they weren't all being herded around like the nurse's pets. This was not the way he wanted to start off his night.

At least the girl wasn't completely stupid, however.

"No, I'm a demon." Hiei was rather pleased with the fact that he wasn't a human, so Rhode's teasing didn't move him in the least. "I'm also not interested in talk to you."

Oooo, a demon was he? Was he one of hers? Ah, probably not with the bit of an attitude he was giving her. It reminded a lot of Debbit, only more snarky. And he had said demon instead of Akuma. Those minions had a little more pride in themselves than to go by such a generic term. Aside from the Akuma, she never had met an actual demon before. Or maybe she had - it was hard to tell what creatures she was talking to during the day.

"Why not, I'm bored~?" she whined, smile persisting. Though she would have normally avoided conversations due to their boredom, she had no problem with some teasing small talk. It would pass the time. "Are you waiting for someone too, Mr. Demon?"

[ Leading the group to here!]

Shining his flashlight across the hall, the first thing Sousuke noted was that there were three people in this hallway, apparently arguing about something. No matter--both Mousse and the other man seemed calm and collected, so they wouldn't be slowed down by things like petty arguments.

Closet rod still slung over his shoulder, Sousuke continued to walk towards the Sun Room doors. He paused just short of them.

"Are you both prepared? It is likely we will meet up with something hostile here. This room is the place most likely to be chosen for an ambush operation."

Zoro followed Sousuke down the hall, grunting a low "Roronoa Zoro" in response to the other two. It was just fair, after all.

The group arguing barely merited his attention but Zoro cast a suspicious glare in Sousuke's direction when the other stopped. His question would have been insulting, but Zoro wasn't one to take quick offense. The tone seemed more neutral than warning, anyway.

The pirate took one look at the door and snorted. "Ambush? Fine by me." He cracked his knuckles, face giving away none of his eager anticipation. A fight would be a familiar and welcome change of pace.

Mousse also nodded in anticipation, though his couldn't be be described as 'eager'. It was more of a declaration that he was prepared and expected to meet with danger. "I too am ready for an ambush."

His arms folded and his hands went up his sleeves, fingering the hidden pens should he need to use them.

He nodded, "Good. Let's move!"

For a guy who was 5'9" and quite built, Sousuke could move without even making a sound on the linoleum. Hopefully they could get through the room without attracting unwanted attention...

Albel stopped in the hallway outside of the sun room. He noticed the scum already present, but he ignored them completely. Such silly worms weren't worth wasting his time with, as they'd only slow him down.

From here, he could take several directions. The sun room was boring, so that wasn't an option. He could try the doors opposite of it, or he could go straight ahead.

[from two threads up, double threading so as not to hold Albel up from RPing]

Well fine, the God and demons could go do their own thing for all she cared! Ignoring her and insulting her like that...! She was going to be sure to tell the Earl on them whenever she got home. Except for Hiei, since he'd been a relatively good plaything until the others had shown up, she didn't really care for any in the group. As a whole, they were boring. Rhode hated boring.

That's why the arrival of a new plaything fresh meat another grabbed her attention from the group that had gone and left her. She needed someone to play with. She even more needed someone to just be there for company. Allen still hadn't shown up and waiting alone for much longer was not an option. It would have set her back to thinking on that ghost woman's curse and what it had forced her to think. Rhode did not want to have to deal with that even once more this evening.

The new-comer was much taller compared with the others, Tyki tall, and nearly had Tyki's "not now Rhode, I'm ( ... )

Albel Nox was a natural loner. There were plenty of reasons he wanted to be alone, away from that foolish scum. Last night had ended in one large mess, which only strengthened his resolve, that it would be best if no one got even near him. The anger still lingered; part of it was directed to the ghost wench, part of it directed to Yuber, but most of it was directed to himself. After all, he let it happen. He could blame no one but himself, himself and his own weakness. Like it always had been, the reason his father had died. The weak shouldn't be saved, but no one played by his rules. Not even that stupid maggot, which was exactly why it was better for the him to remain alone. At least no one would be foolish enough to go and save him.

But now that he was alone, his thoughts drifted. The day had provided plenty of distractions in the shape of those useless maggots, but now that he was by himself it took everything to focus on taking a stupid direction instead of making his thoughts drift to things he didn't want to think about. It ( ... )

The grin his words left on Rhode's face was a dangerous one. He hadn't answered her, which would have given her even more of a reason to smile had it been a positive answer, but more than news of Allen Walker's whereabouts could make her smile.

What a mouth this one had?! He was far less reserved about insulting than the other's she'd just had some fun with. Now, some of her victims had been just as vocal about their dislike of her, but that was usually after she had torn off at least one of their limbs. The person before her she had just met, which made it his first time of seeing her as well. People weren't supposed to be so mean with first impressions!

"No, I can't," she answered. He had just gotten there, so she hadn't had the time to look and tell if he had been busy. From where she stood right now, he still didn't look busy. "What are you busy with? Waiting~?"

Lee seemed to almost dance around people as he made his way to the Sun Room. His heart was pounding with excitement at what he might find. He paused to gather his thoughts. He also prayed that his friends were all right.
