Raine had hoped to get some actual sleep tonight, but she found that the mere fact of it being Nightshift left her too tense to really try. As promised, Reinforce's deliberately breaking her leg had gone... well enough, but it was still something she hoped not to repeat anytime soon.
After having told a few people she was going to be in her room all night, she tried to just relax and get involved in her book. It was harder than it should have been; she was tense and alert despite assurances that they were safe in here. Nobody had ever reported seeing a monster in patient rooms, but she still couldn't help expecting something to step out of one of the closets, or something. I feel like a toddler frightened of the dark. Of course, in this place, that fear is justified.
So, in an attempt at a compromise between her fear of monsters and her desire to relax for once, she curled up on her bed to read, where any monsters coming out of a closet or through the door would alert her immediately. She'd also propped their door open to make their room easier to find (slightly ironically), in case anyone needed healing. She didn't want to leave Reinforce, just in case, and more than that knew better than to wander the halls alone.
