So far no stupid distractions.
Albel quickly proceeded into the next hallway, carefully scanning the darkness for any scum lurking within it (though without a flashlight, it made it pretty difficult to see anythingEventually, the Captain reached the door leading to the recreational field. It was caution, he told himself, that slowed his steps further as he moved out of his block. He had at least one hand completely full with the metal, which would make it harder to defend himself.
Not that I could any--
He cut that thought off visciously. Focus.
It was caution, not reluctance. It had to be.
Someone had already headed out, toward the rec field, he noticed. He went in the opposite direction.

Jack walked past the various patient rooms. While he wouldn't have minded a helping hand in breaking out or in battle, should the need arise, he didn't have any burning desire to join up with someone who would slow him down. His gut told him that this was the way to success and he could have some clingy or needy loser wrecking all his plans.
He slipped through the door that led to the main hallway and proceeded on his way.

The hallway was empty by the time Tatsumi came to it, which was disturbing in it's own way. At least the night before, when it had been busy, the man could count on help should he need it. Now, however, he was alone, powerless, weaponless, and somewhat lacking when it came to combative skills.
So if anything attacked, he was in trouble.
Still, Tatsumi couldn't let himself linger, having little doubt that a stationary target would be more tempting than a moving one.

He looked around. No one was in the hallway. It unnerved him--severely. And when Artemis was scared, he ran as fast as his legs would carry him. All this for one simple defense lesson.
"Abarai's ranting about how I better be a good student," Artemis muttered uder his breath, "He'd better be a good teacher."

Aya paused his steps in mid-hallway after making sure Yohji was nowhere to be seen. He'd wait here, and then they could go back to Omi's room. He wasn't sure why he felt this hesitant towards this gathering of Weiss despite the show he had arranged at lunch about them being a team. But for some reason, he felt easier when there was only Yohji, not the whole team, waiting him to act in some specific way, which he was not scoring.
Shoulder against the wall, he rested his eyes for a moment, thinking back to his talk with Omi over the greenhouse shift. He would probably feel a lot less anxious with Shion by his side but at the same time, he wondered if he could call the sword his own anymore.
With a sigh, he blinked his eyes open again, spying the shadowy hallway for one familiar blond he knew would be heading eventually to his way, violet tired through the messy crimson bangs.

Yohji left his room and slipped into the corridor. Aya, he'd promised to meet Aya. He felt kinda' guilty about leaving Cliff to his own devices, but the guy had friends to meet. He'd be fine. And Yohji had to prove himself to them.
He stopped in surprise when he saw a familiar head of crimson hair. A wry smile crossed his lips. Trust Aya to be early, even in this place. He approached the other man slowly. "Hey. I have a knife if you want it." He'd meant to give it to him the other night, but Aya had been held up.

"You need it." Just as much as Aya did, but that thought was left unvoiced, unnecessary. "I can arm myself. But..." He let his gaze shift past Yohji to the dark hallway, awkward, unused to these particular words to pass his lips in any form or way. "...thank you," he finally added silently.

The thanks caught him by surprise, leaving him staring at Aya for a long moment. Aya had... thanked him. "I haven't done anything," he said wryly.
