So far no stupid distractions.

Aya paused his steps in mid-hallway after making sure Yohji was nowhere to be seen. He'd wait here, and then they could go back to Omi's room. He wasn't sure why he felt this hesitant towards this gathering of Weiss despite the show he had arranged at lunch about them being a team. But for some reason, he felt easier when there was only Yohji, not the whole team, waiting him to act in some specific way, which he was not scoring.
Shoulder against the wall, he rested his eyes for a moment, thinking back to his talk with Omi over the greenhouse shift. He would probably feel a lot less anxious with Shion by his side but at the same time, he wondered if he could call the sword his own anymore.
With a sigh, he blinked his eyes open again, spying the shadowy hallway for one familiar blond he knew would be heading eventually to his way, violet tired through the messy crimson bangs.

Yohji left his room and slipped into the corridor. Aya, he'd promised to meet Aya. He felt kinda' guilty about leaving Cliff to his own devices, but the guy had friends to meet. He'd be fine. And Yohji had to prove himself to them.
He stopped in surprise when he saw a familiar head of crimson hair. A wry smile crossed his lips. Trust Aya to be early, even in this place. He approached the other man slowly. "Hey. I have a knife if you want it." He'd meant to give it to him the other night, but Aya had been held up.

"You need it." Just as much as Aya did, but that thought was left unvoiced, unnecessary. "I can arm myself. But..." He let his gaze shift past Yohji to the dark hallway, awkward, unused to these particular words to pass his lips in any form or way. "...thank you," he finally added silently.

The thanks caught him by surprise, leaving him staring at Aya for a long moment. Aya had... thanked him. "I haven't done anything," he said wryly.

Shrugging slightly to his own thoughts, he tucked his overgrown bangs behind his ear and hold a hand out to Yohji. "Fine. Give it to me, since you're so eager to part from it." There was dry humor behind his words but he had a feeling Yohji would be hearing only what he said, not how.

He pulled out one of the spare knives and handed it handle first to Aya. Ken or Omi could probably use the other one, or he could keep it for himself. Depended what they found tonight he supposed. "Yeah well, that's me. Mr generosity," he said, sarcasm tinting his words.

He took the knife from Yohji swiftly and gripped the handle tightly in his fingers. Just a knife, but it would have to do, supposedly it was better than nothing.
If Yohji could be 'Mr generosity', Aya could as well be 'Mr nice'. Corners of his lips quirking slightly at the thought, he kept his gaze at the knife as he murmured quietly, "Thank you."

He patted his pocket absently, feeling the cigarette Schuldig had given him still there.
He nodded, a slight smile curling his lips. "No problem."

It took Omi a minute before he spotted Yohji and Aya, but once he did he made his way over perhaps a bit more slowly than necessary. He almost hoped he wasn't interrupting anything, but they had had time while he was waiting for Ken.
At least they didn't seem to be in the middle of a fight or anything. With any luck, it would stay that way. "Hey."

And speaking of the devil, Ken came up right behind Omi, a little smirk on his face. "Sorry to keep you guys waiting."
Well, now the gang's all here.

But obviously he took too long in thinking, and it was Omi's voice that shook him out of his reverie. He nodded as a greeting for both Omi and Ken, perhaps even a little relieved, and glanced down the hall behind their backs. "Any troubles on the way?"

Thankfully the other two showed up before it could get any worse. He smiled briefly at Omi and Ken. "Hey."

And since they were all there, it was time to get started. He turned slightly so he could talk to all three of them without having to turn around. "We should probably get going as soon as possible. Who knows how long we'll actually have. I was thinking of trying to find better weapons tonight. Aya said you had a couple knives, Yohji, but I'd feel better if you all had something that gave you a little more reach. I know there are baseball bats and things in the shed on the rec field, but there was also a giant spider last time. I'm open to better ideas. Well?"

And as usual, he fell silent as the others spoke, quite content to leave the talking to them.
