"So I need to teach you some things, too," Riku decided. It hadn't occurred to him that this guy was so behind on all of that, but it was just as well. There was the fact that Sora would've been more patient playing teacher than him, but he could deal with the change in roles. "I can handle that," he added a beat later with a shrug. No matter what they did, he figured he could throw out some information.

Then again, it wasn't always that easy. Riku wasn't always sure what did and didn't need to be mentioned. It was a learning exercise, all right.

"Guns," he pressed on, "are weapons that shoot small bullets." Riku raised his hand and showed Loki just how big they happened to be. "They cut in and hurt. How it works ... well, there's science involved, but they're a lot more dangerous than arrows and a lot faster." At least, in his experience, they were harder to dodge. "The warning signs are hit and miss here with the monsters. Sometimes you just turn all dark. Other times, they just step out of the shadows. Some things can be caught. Others can't."

That seemed to be good enough. Riku studied the other guy for a moment longer before he just stepped through the door.
