It wasn't until Shiina had spoken again that Tear felt the weight of a question. She hastily downed the potatoes in her mouth and considered her answer. Another might have placed cares for another's consideration. It would be easy, after all, to share one's worries for consumption. Shiina, regardless of who she was, and Tear were in positions that required some aspect of mutual trust. It would be so easy, given who they were.
Except Tear was Tear, and pushing worries to another was an unforgivable act. She knew she could never detail, not in the ways someone might have wanted or expected. "Oh," she replied. "I'm just having some trouble with one of the groups I'm working with. I should be fine, though. Thank you for your concern."

Maybe it was something more personal, though. Shiina would have issues talking about what happened at school that final day with someone like Tear. She probably hadn't seen her own homeroom teacher and fellow pupils murdered at point-blank gunpoint or anything of that sort. If Tear was just having boy problems, then maybe it would be different. This had to be something pretty extreme.
"Y'know..." Shiina poked a bit at her asparagus now that her pie was gone. She kept her eyes down, not wanting to seem too intrusive. "I know things have been kinda crazy lately. Sometimes it's a little overwhelming. But, don't worry." A soft smile lighted on her lips. "We'll get out of here soon. I know it."
