He wasn't sure what time it was, or how long it had been since he'd been asleep. Disoriented and confused, he sat up, looking all around him for the source of the piercing noise. Unable to identify it, he pressed his hands over his ears on instinct, trying to drone it out. It was doing nothing for his headache at all. Did humans react to all loud noises like this?
Thankfully, after a while it eventually stopped, although the new pink lighting everywhere didn't exactly put him at ease. Something was definitely happening, and it probably would be a good idea to investigate.
ZEX got up, got dressed, and found something unusual in his closet, where he kept most of his things. He pulled it out and even with his human hands, it felt familiar in his grip. His pistol. His pistol from home, although it had been altered... changed to accommodate his new human form. Why this place seemed focused on confusing him about his identity, only to give him reminders of his home, was beyond him.
He inspected it, and as best he could tell, it was still capable of a few shots. Also strange... why would they give him something like this? Wasn't it against their interests? Not that he'd refuse the gift, but the illogical nature of the entire thing puzzled him.
At least now he was armed... and hopefully his human body wouldn't be too much of a hindrance. He may have to use his smaller appendages to squeeze the trigger rather than his arm, but he could figure it out. At least now he felt much better just having it with him. Far more capable.
Definitely willing to see what this night had in store for him.
