It all fell into place at the sudden revelation of what could have happened to Soma. "Oh, I hadn't even thought of that!" the redhead said with a frown, thinking. Everything she had read/been told about Soma made it seem that the girl was very punctual and would never leave her teammates simply waiting (which was why Sora thought so highly of her, she realized,) so it made the most sense that the girl must have been taken for one of the missions she had been hearing so much about. She only hoped the girl was okay. "That must be it. Sora always thinks so highly of Soma, so ..."
Well, if that was the case, then they had to get moving. "Since things are going down, we should start going. I think our best bet would to look outside, especially with everything going on now, you know?"
That way she could look for her friends, too. They were looking for her. They had to be.
"I mean, if you don't mind," Kairi added quickly, eyes glancing around the darkness once more. "I don't think it's best if we stay around here very much longer, however."

A loud skittering noise rang out across the hallway, and Sonia turned around as fast as she could to see something heading for them. When she was finally sure what they were, she gasped and gently bumped backwards into Kairi. Giant rats!? "Stand back!" she shouted to her companion, jumping forward.
Spin and win time!
Sonia started spinning on her heel at sonic speed, causing a small, bright pink tornado to suddenly appear where she had been standing, though she was careful to move away from Kairi and bend it forward to meet the monsters; she didn't want to hurt them, but to disorient them long enough so others could leave the area. But what had been an ability she'd mastered now felt foreign somehow, and the princess couldn't put her finger on it. Barely two seconds in, her arms were flailing outward and she struggled to keep herself upright. She was losing her balance! "Whoa--! Oof!" The force of the fall sent the pair of monsters flying away in another direction, leaving Sonia sprawled out on the floor, feeling bruises forming up her right arm.
What happened!?
She let out a small groan, but was quick to force herself back on her feet. Those rats could come back at any moment! "Come on!" she called to Kairi, motioning for her to follow. She was having a hard time trying not to trip over her own feet; she hadn't felt this dizzy since the first time she'd ever tried to super spin!
