No, something was different. It wasn't until she reached the next hallway that Anise realized, but she could feel fonons - in the air, and in her body. It took a moment to process this, but as she thought about it, she quickly grew excited. Could this mean

Rose slipped out into the hall, moving silently, keeping to shadows. Running was nothing new to her, and she was determined to take advantage of this while it lasted. She hesitated a moment, torn, wonderi9ng if land Stefan and Damon had had the same luck, wondering if she should try to find them. But instincts and her own need to survive were overriding her concern and she just wanted out.
If she came across them on the way, then all the better, but at the moment, she determined to find her way outside first and go from there. This could all still be some horrible type of trap, and she wasn't taking any chances.

The air was different, almost fresher now that shackles put on her were off for the time being. The prison itself might not have been encouraging escape, but the people inside it… well, there were those who had had no business being a prisoner to anyone or anything--until Landel’s inhibitors had come along, anyway. And now they were liberated again ( ... )

"Yomi?" she asked, cocking her head to the side, studying her. There was something different about her, something that made Rose wary, just in case. If whatever had been restraining her was gone, it was likely it was gone for everyone. Which made every patient in this place an unknown at the moment. Rose hated the unknown. There was no way to predict anything about that and even she couldn't plan for everything that possible could happen. Not in a place like this.
She had to think a moment to answer Yomi's question, a puzzled frown on her lips. It was such a random thing to ask. "It's Tuesday. Why?"

And why shouldn’t she have? They had hit it off fairly well on the fieldtrip, so that meant they were well on their way to friendship, right? Yomi remembered her, too, of course. Rose, her new pal. So helpful.
Making acquaintances, making friends, was a consequence of boredom and of having one’s autonomy infringed upon; even the most inhuman of their fellow prisoners received their fair share of socialization courtesy of the Institute. But what did that mean when their captors’ hold on them had slipped a little? Just how much of that grudging camaraderie remained when the incentive for it was gone?
For now, she just smiled. "Tuesday, you say? Ah, that’s good to hear. I’ve been out of commission for some reason, and time got away from me. Guess I wasn’t unconscious too long."
Unless she had been sleeping for a full week.
"Did something happen today to bring this all on?" she asked, gesturing around her with her sword.

And into another hallway she went. Traveling hallways wasn't going to really make up the interesting part of this experience, but she figured something would jump out at her soon enough. Really, it was remarkable how good she felt about all of this. Maybe level one wasn't that bad in the big picture. Maybe she was just worrying a little too much. Now, all she had to do was get through this night without a problem and then something awesome might come of it.
Or maybe she'd find the kitchen so she could make a grilled cheese. Dinner just wasn't very good. And that place couldn't be too far away, right? It was worth looking for.

Ramona held the flashlight in her hand by its butt as she continued forward toward the bathroom. The last thing she wanted was to touch this stuff, and who knew if Bob the Giant Cockroach was filled with stuff that could kill her? Or maybe she'd just have to deal with a slow death from knowing that touched her. Either thing was heart-stopping.

With the kill the giant cockroach and then clean off its entrails achievement met, Ramona continued back on in the direction she came from. And now her hair looked better, too, which was surprising but at least now she knew that she could probably spend less money on product.

Flashlight in one hand and knife in the other, Bella continued down the hallways, keeping her eyes out for anything and everything. She could hear some kind of skittering sound in the darkness, and, quite frankly, she was not willing to find out what kind of thing was making the sounds across the floor.
It didn't help that there was no one in the hallway.
At least, not anyone she could see.

It made no sense for a vampire to be so terrified of one small, human girl. Not from the outside. From the inside, he was lucky to find the courage to approach her at all.
Monsters. They were out, and his heart raced even as it did not beat. He headed into the female block, racing, slamming doors open as they were in his way. He caught her scent immediately, the soft slam of a wrecking ball. He readied himself. He was full. No temptation. No temptation ( ... )

He was holding his shirt, and the teenager frowned, wishing both of her hands weren't currently holding something so she could reach out and touch Edward's arm. "Why are you holding your shirt? Are you okay?" She cast a quick glance over his form, not seeing anything, but ... well. What was going on?
"Do you have any idea what's going on?" she voiced her concerned, frowning as she once again began to look around through the darkness. "I mean, what with the sudden message and - how did you get to me so fast? I was alone seconds ago and suddenly ... wait. Do you ... feel like yourself again?"
The thought made Bella pause. If Edward had his speed back, then some serious shit really was going on. Uh oh. The teenager bit her ( ... )

Pressing the bloodied shirt closer, he rolled it into a smaller ball. She couldn't see it. "I don't know why it's happening, but the patients' abilities are returning. I can hear all of them, or at least most of them. Just the joy. The potential for destruction." That's why he was here, despite being so afraid. With an innumerable amount of creatures on the loose, he could trust her to to no one but himself. Even if her smell, the sound of her beating heart, were both threatening to derail him ( ... )

It was too simple to get back into the habit and slide out of sight, but she stayed as she was, keeping to visibility to maintain notice. This hall she was waited in many a time, and had no qualms about being here. After, though... Instinct was pressing her to move from this spectrum and remain unnoticed. And she would. There were things to do, and she could do them best unnoticed.

Upon rounding the corner, she caught Renamon's quiet form in the shadows, and instantly, Tear walked toward her. There were sounds of conflict from the outer corridors, which proved to be a cause of concern for the Melodist. Until business was taken care of, however, she had to push that aside. The girl paused at a comfortable distance and held out the knife to the other.
"I don't suppose you know what just happened," she remarked, forgoing the greetings for now. "Thank you, by the way, for the weapon."

If one could note it the Digimon was moving more fluidly than before, not as frozen in her motions and stern in her expressions. She tilted her head to the girl. "It's not a problem. Will you be all right otherwise?"

A smile she dropped at the next instant. Tear nodded. "I have my own arsenal." Lacking in physical weapons, perhaps, but she had others. "I appreciate your concern, however. Will you?"

Lana spared one -- and only one -- glance up the hall to where Ema's door lay quietly shut. It would have been too much to hope that Ema would stay put tonight even if she hadn't broadcast her plans on the bulletin, but the rescue missions were one of the safer things she could have chosen. And Lana hadn't even had to suggest it. It was probably better that she hadn't, at least not to Ema, though she might have seen Lana's post to Gumshoe. As ways to prove her usefulness, it wasn't a bad one.
Though Lana already knew her sister was capable when it counted. Her heart was in the right place, even when her hands weren't, and that was what counted most.
Which was why she wasn't going on this trip tonight. Lana moved down the hallway with renewed speed.
