Day 59: Game Room (Fourth Shift)

Guy's head was still spinning from finding out that his friend was back once again. He realized that he'd done a good job of keeping his cool while explaining everything to Luke, mainly because nothing would have been solved if both of them had been reeling, but ( Read more... )

Had he honestly just slept the entire day away?

Grell burst from his room, more than a teensy bit upset at having lost an entire day to God only knew what. He barely had time to snatch the beret from his guard before he stalked his way down the hallway. The guard was rushing to catch up, berating "Burnett" for disrespecting dress code, but Grell couldn't find it in himself to care. Instead, the death god waved the beleaguered guard off and adjusted the uniform to his liking - beret and all.

"Just what time is it?" he demanded, using his fingers to finish combing out the tangles in his hair.

"Fourth shift. Game Room or Sun Room," came the curt answer, to which Grell only rolled his eyes.

"And why was I left to sleep all day?"

No answer.

Bloody military.

When Grell entered the Sun Room, hoping to get a better feel of how the day went, he was greeted by the sight of two formidable blanket forts and people being utterly ridiculous around them. He doubted he was going to be able to get any good information out of people who chose to spend their precious daytime hours squatting inside pilfered bedding and so he turned to the Game Room. Aguilar wanted information and in order to curry favor and get the hell out of this place, Grell had to talk to people and pull information.

Sadly, the Game Room was nearly empty save for the pretty blond from the bus, a nerd at the television and a small child. A small, very pale child. Grell raised an eyebrow, adjusting the glasses on his face as he realized the child wasn't exactly normal. Still, a child was a child, cute as he may be, and Grell wasn't sure what to do here. He turned to leave and the guard was blocking his path.

"You're stay--"

"Oh, fine!" he snapped, throwing his hands up to interrupt the man before he could finish. With a quick spin, Grell brushed past the pale haired child to throw himself down into the closest seat, landing in a flurry of uniform blue and blood red hair. "Ugh, as if this day could get any worse!"

There was a commotion at the front of the room, a red-haired... The boy's head cocked to the side at the sight. With the long hair and movements, the person was... Female? Though body type....

A red-haired question mark had made their way into the room, basically trapped in there from what Albedo saw. His eyebrows raised fractionally. That, at least, was understood. The being slipped past him, and he watched, half interested. There was something different about this one. In the way of Kaworu, Yomi, others, perhaps. Albedo shifted his weight to face the table next to him, mouth parting in a grin almost ill-suited. Why not continue the game, at least?

He brushed fingertips along the edge of the table, trailing them as he sat opposite. "A horrible day?" He blinked slowly, almost seductively, watching intently. "My. Surely it couldn't have been all that bad?"
