Nigh 57: East Wing, Hall A

((From here.))Thankfully, they'd all been here long enough to know exactly where to find the greenhouse. Claude didn't think they'd have any problems navigating. The main issue was whether they'd find anymore surprise game shows, or if they'd have something more sinister to worry about ( Read more... )

It seemed that Claude was more irritated by what had happened than himself or Anise, though Guy could sort of understand why. They were dealing with life and death here, so running into something so over-the-top seemed like a smack to the face. A man in woman's clothing ordering them to dance just didn't fit in with the tone set by the movie they'd watched earlier in the day, but their captors didn't seem to care about that. They were probably just trying to annoy them at this point.

Luckily, pointing them toward the greenhouse seemed to redirect Claude's thoughts and get him set on their real mission again. As they moved down the hall that would take them there, Guy glanced at the doors that they were surrounding by -- the doctor's offices, followed by some group therapy rooms that were not often used as far as he knew. Not that he'd ever been called in for therapy in the first place.

Guy was fairly certain he had never been down here at night, although he did recall Claude telling him something about herbs weeks ago. It was ( ... )

Wow, Claude was pretty mad. Anise guessed she could understand why, though. It was kind of like they were being made fun of, even though they were risking their lives. They hadn't made the decision to return to the basement lightly.

But right now, they needed to keep their cool, so Anise didn't let herself get worked up by that. There were probably going to be tons of things to get worked up over ahead of them.

As they passed through the hallway, the doors to the doctors' offices caught Anise's eye, and she slowed as she passed by the office of Dr. Yumeno. What happened to him after all that? Now that the military dropped the charade, did he finally understand what this place really was? Or did they just dispose of him...?

That thought was a little too grim to entertain right then, and Anise was starting to fall behind, so she picked up the pace to catch up to her friends, and hurried along to the greenhouse yard.

[from here]Confident with the knowledge that he would be able to move forward without having to resort to the map again for a while at least, Vino continued on, switching the flashlight off. Not that it particularly mattered much right now, since more people seemed to be coming out to wander now. A few had already gotten to where he was ( ... )

What he found was a long hallway filled with doors on either side. Ah, interesting! Chances were looking better and better for Vino finding what he was looking for.

The area was unlit, but Vino had no intention of turning on the flashlight. After all, there was just enough brightness to make out plaques on the doors, which lead to the conclusion that these doors seemed to lead to offices. Perhaps doctor's offices?

Vino tried a doorknob, shook it a bit so that the door rattled in its place. Nope, locked. He tried another. Also locked. Perhaps if he tried hard enough, he'd be able to break down a door if he felt like it. But no, he decided it wasn't quite worth the effort. Putting an ear to a door and listening closely further proved this fact. There was no one in these offices right now. Vino need to find people, not empty rooms ( ... )
