Day 24; Doctor's Office #8; Dr. Lecter

May 19, 2007 13:19

Dr Hannibal Lecter. There was a title that he hadn't thought he'd ever take on again. It wasn't as if anyone could take it from him truly, but being a practicing psychologist while on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted was a bit difficult. There was only so much plastic surgery could cover.

And than came this Landel's place.

Interesting in its own way. Where else were they people walking around that believed themselves characters in video games, books, or any other facet of the imagination? While he no longer had much of a desire to cure anyone, Hannibal did have the desire to see how deeply he could affect others. Having to leave Italy hurriedly had ruined his plans for researching his ancestors. For now, this would do.

His office was laid out much like the others with a desk, cabinets, and carpeted flooring. The walls and furniture were all stained in darker shades of oak, a strong tree that he found pleasant to the touch and smell. A couch sat out in the best of Freudian style, a low coffee table next to it bearing a few small types of food. Mostly it was various expensive crackers with a variety of spreads. Today's was lamb brain in a very fine brandy sauce, a small label from one of Lebanon's finest producers reading merely 'nikhaat' while another that a meatish and yet cheesy flavour was labeled 'Magoze-Test'. That one was goat brain with testicles. Another in Pakistani was 'Gurda' or goat kidney spread. The last were small squares that had been grilled delicately and had a very light fish scent along with lemon and some sort of pepper. Fugu pufferfish.

While he doubted many would appreciate it or the small bit of wine he would allow them, Hannibal thought goat and sheep quite fitting for those who were to come.
