[From

He didn't know if everyone else was just being lazy or if it was because he hadn't spent as much time getting all his belongings in order, but it didn't really matter. It was better this way, when he didn't have to slip around

Guy moved out into a mainly empty hallway with no sign of Claude. That wasn't unusual, though, seeing how it could really go either way with which one of them got out here first. Before it had usually taken Claude longer because he'd had to change into his outfit, but now that Guy had his own, it was more or less a toss-up.
Of course, his outfit was ruined slightly because he'd chosen to wear the leather jacket they'd been provided over it since there was a chance they'd be going out into the snow once more. He didn't think his orange vest was something that should be covered, and now he was wearing far too much black, but there wasn't much that could be done about that. That last thing he wanted was to come down with pneumonia or something.
Allowing himself to lean against the wall, Guy decided he'd give Claude a minute or two and then go check his room to see if he was even still there. If it turned out they'd missed each other, then Guy would just have to head out on his own, as much as he knew that was a bad idea. Maybe he'd run into Anise, Tear, or Natalia in that case.

The halls were quiet, though Claude moved quietly through the dark. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure what he'd wind up doing tonight. Due to Doyleton's lack of structure, it was difficult to make contact with people via the bulletin board. Not only that, but today was the first time he'd gone on that trip and not bumped into Guy at some point. He hadn't thought about it much before, but going the whole time without seeing the other man felt strange.
He knew that there was a high chance they'd just missed each other, but it still put Claude on edge.
That was why, when he moved into the next hall and saw a familiar figure, he breathed an inward sigh of relief. Claude wondered if Guy had been waiting to check up on him, or if he'd agreed to meet someone else here. Either way, it was good to see him.
"Hey," he greeted as he approached his friend. His eyes lingered on the leather jacket for a moment, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. "How was your day?"

"Hey," he returned, smiling warmly. "It was all going pretty well until the end of it," he remarked with a sigh. He wasn't that interested in elaborating, so he didn't say more than that, but he would explain if Claude chose to ask about it. Guy thought that the less that was said about Sync, the better, but there was no reason to keep it from his friend. He just didn't want to rile the younger man up.
"Did you have plans for tonight?" he went on to ask, tilting his head at Claude. It was completely possible that the man had made some arrangements during the trip today, but Guy would be surprised if Claude wouldn't be willing to take him along in that case.
While he felt bad asking such a thing -- even though he hadn't even asked yet -- he knew that they were close enough that he hardly had to worry about it.

"Oh, um, no, I don't have any plans," he quickly answered. "I was hoping we could stick together tonight." Claude flashed a quick smile. "I mean, if you've already got stuff to do, I understand, but..."
After all, Guy had several friends here aside from himself. It wasn't such a stretch that he'd already decided on something to do. Then again, even if that was the case, there probably wasn't any reason that Claude couldn't come along, right?
That thought made him relax a little. It was a comfort to have such a reliable friend in the institute. Claude knew he was very lucky in that regard.

"I don't," he quickly replied with a shake of his head. At this point he almost took it for granted that he would be spending his nights with Claude, and while it should have been strange, it wasn't. Seeing how one of his other friends from home tended to accompany them, it felt more familiar.
"I guess we'll see if we find anyone else," he said, turning toward the nearby door. It wasn't guaranteed, but everyone wandered around the blocks at the beginning of the night, so who knew?
They didn't even have a plan yet, but they could work that out while they walked, and so Guy led them out without another word. This was all habit by now.
