State of the Muses

Luceti

character: markofthewise
series: Avatar: The Last Airbender
tagging priority: ■■■■■: Usually my highest, though I'll sometimes leave him last when he floods my inbox... like he usually does.
muse strength: ■■■■■: Noooo problems here.
cast strength: ■■■■□: Avatar House has a pretty good thing going on right now and it's easy to get things moving with them.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Sokka doesn't start plots, they happen to him!
general fun level: ■■■□□: I'm getting worried about him growing stale in Luceti. He's still fun, it's just... he's pretty much settled. I guess he needs something to shake him out of complacency.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: 8|

character: onebluebamf
series: X-Men Evolution
tagging priority: ■■■■□: Tends to be just after Sokka and Jack.
muse strength: ■■■□□: His voice has been shaky lately. I've been hitting his tags last and with less enthusiasm. I honestly have no idea what the problem is.
cast strength: ■■■□□: Doing good. Rogue, Jubilee, and Storm are really great. Unfortunately he hasn't had much to do with our XFC people..
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: Kurt excels at daily life stuff. But I just can't get him involved.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Lots of fun. Hard to make posts for, though.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Not a chance

character: originaljackass
series: Fables
tagging priority: ■■■■■: High. Sometimes more than Sokka. I've been having a ton of fun with him lately.
muse strength: ■■■■□: Sometimes I feel doubtful about his characterization, but that's because um, the comics aren't all that consistent.
cast strength: ■■■■□: So far Rose is fantastic and involved. Very good sign of things to come.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Pretty high, actually. He seems to get involved in more stuff than my others.
general fun level: ■■■■□: Very.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: He's on his way to drop immunity, I think.

character: tintobrat
series: Suikoden III
tagging priority: ■■■□□: Not high, but she has few threads at any given time and they're not hard to work with.
muse strength: ■■■□□: I've been getting more into her character as of late.
cast strength: ■■□□□: Nothing wrong with her cast, really. It's just that she has no interest in them.
plotting capabilities: ■□□□□: Not high, but I enjoy what she does have anyway.
general fun level: ■■■□□: As long as she's not getting trolled, I really do enjoy her threads a lot.
likelihood of drop: ■■□□□: She was very, very close to getting dropped. But I held off and am glad I did. I don't wanna get rid of her.

character: gerudoking
series: Legend of Zelda
tagging priority: ■■■□□: Pretty average. Varies with thread. Etc.
muse strength: ■■■■□: Getting into his mindset is great. His voice tends to be a mix of MegaByte (Reboot) and Teal'c (Stargate) in my head. I like this balance.
cast strength: ■■■□□: Remains to be seen, really. Most of them are just blips on his radar for now.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Very high. I hope.
general fun level: ■■■□□: He's not a 'fun' character, but I love playing him. He has a very commanding presence and he's always in control of the conversation. It makes things interesting.
likelihood of drop: ■■□□□: He's new, so not right now. But hey, it's me, ainnit?

Holloway's Keep

character: wiselymarked
series: Avatar: The Last Airbender
tagging priority: ■■■■□: Highest in HK, but he usually comes second to Luceti Sokka. Except for... some threads.
muse strength: ■■■■■: Not a problem.
cast strength: ■■■■□: Good so far! But I just enabled three of them into the game, lol. We'll see.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Should be good! But I don't know how plotting works in HK yes, so we'll see.
general fun level: ■■■■■: Dropping him into a setting is making him a lot more interesting than he usually is. He was way too comfortable in Luceti.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: It really depends on whether I can stick with the two game thing.

character: sodoffduster
series: Dragon Age
tagging priority: □□□□□: Well I haven't intro'd him yet!
muse strength: ■■■□□: From what little I've done, I'm very unsure. I think I should be okay, but Oghren is from what is possibly the deepest canon I've ever played from, save for my brief foray as Treebeard.
cast strength: ■■■□□: They seem good, but I've yet to tag with any of them.
plotting capabilities: □□□□□: We'll see. :|a
general fun level: ■■■■□: Oh he's going to be an absolute blast if I can make him work. He's like twice as bad as Jack is.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: It really depends on whether I can stick with the two game thing.

BioSpheres

character: acosmiccastaway
series: Titan A.E.
tagging priority: ■■□□□: Admittedly low. I tend to put this game low on my priorities.
muse strength: ■■□□□: I'm sort of having the same problems I did in Elegante, where I don't know how to realistically transition from jerkass to decent guy.
cast strength: □□□□□: N/A
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: No clue. Once it comes down to survival, he's gonna be out of his depth.
general fun level: ■■□□□: I'm not really sure. The setting is fun, but I'm not sure how right he is for the setting.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: Problems aside, I'm gonna keep him, I think. No point in switching him out or anything, honestly. It's just a musebox, not a public game.

Overall:

I'm really glad I went through with dropping Ling and switching to two games. It's nice having HK as a place where I can just be a player, already know some people, and explore some stuff with Sokka I can't do in Luceti. And I feel less stale there. It's new and exciting and I'm really enjoying that aspect of it. I'm anticipating introducing Oghren, but I need to get some more icons for him and get my other tags under control.

I'm still going strong in Luceti, for those curious. Lately I've been very excited playing with Lilly, Jack, and Ganondorf. Lilly is getting out a bit more and I'm slowly expanding her circle of CR, Jack has a very interesting situation going forward with Rose and his circle of CR, and Ganondorf is just so delicious to play. Seriously, I could go on about Ganon forever. I just love the way I was able to drop him into that post with Draco. He's such a larger than life figure that just adds drama to whatever he does. Even if it's just saving a little girl who happens to be a duck. I'm really hoping he stays this solid for good. I haven't been this enthused about a new (old) muse in a long time.

I've been sort of derping on Holloway's Keep, but I think it's just because it started when I was under a heavy tag load. I'm waiting for things to calm down in Luceti (I have a lot of event backtags) and to get more settled in HK. I feel sort of bad I'm falling behind on this important stage of getting things established, but the game sort of started sooner than I thought I would.

As far as other things go, Sokka's transition to beardedness is almost complete. A lot of them I love, others I stare at and go "eww". I know I'll keep editing them and probably play hell on anyone putting him on their CR Charts. Eheh. Still, so glad I made the change. I feel more natural playing him now, given all his development. I don't see the "15 year old Sokka from ATLA", I see "the older Sokka with 2 years development".

Still need to do Kurt's glowing eyes too. Fortunately that is ridiculously easy to edit. So no worries there.

Apping plans? None, really. I'm gonna sit with Sokka and Oghren in HK for awhile, methinks. Any new characters will probably be headed there, too. The only one itching to be put somewhere is Ayla, but I'll wait awhile on that. I kinda want to revisit Ling again already (sans Greed), but I just know I can't handle six in Luceti and I don't want to drop anyone for him. So he'll have to sit it out for awhile, if not for good.

All in all, GOOD THINGS ARE GOOD.
