Luceti junk!

Okay some things here. App considerations and some thoughts on updating icons.

KURT

First off, I want to update Kurt to have yellow eyes. When? Probably after a mallynapping. It never happens in Evo canon or anything, so it would have to be something the Malnosso do that causes his mutation to advance unexpectedly.

Right now he looks like this:

but would look like this:

Some icon comparisons follow:

The reason I want to do this?

In the comics, this is actually how Kurt looks. He is not quite as cute and fuzzy as his Evo counterpart. While I do like Kurt's Evo design, I do think in some ways that in a visual sense, it is too much of a copout for how truly freaky and alien he is supposed to appear. I'm sure you've heard my complaints in the past about how weird it is that people don't react to Kurt's appearance beyond the casual, "Oh hey he's blue" when that doesn't really feel... valid at all. I understand the arguments of being somehow used to that kind of thing, but I also think it doesn't quite get conveyed all that well that he's supposed to be scary in appearance. After all, people tried to burn him at the stake for his appearance. So I want to keep that kind of aspect in play. He's supposed to be scary looking. It means a lot more when someone looks past his freakish appearance to get to know him, rather than just automatically being okay with it. At least, it feels more natural that way.

In any case, this would be another step closer to his comic counterpart, in much the same way I've reincorporated his religion and his interest in swordplay.

Isn't he just cute?

SOKKA

Okay I want to do something similar to Sokka. This is mostly because as of July, he'll be 17 and a half, going on 18 next year. Unfortunately he doesn't quite look it. I've experimented a lot with making him older. I've messed around a lot with giving him a beard, bangs, and a side braid like Hakoda:

The Nomads are stunned by his new manliness.

Unfortunately while sometimes those edits come out nicely, sometimes they don't. Not only that, but they're time consuming. The following I just edited right onto the existing icons relatively quickly. Quick fixes.

So... not perfect, but I think they make him look older, at least. (As a point of fact, those are all Season 1/2 icons of Sokka, so they're ALREADY heavily edited for his hairstyle.)

PEOPLE TO APP

Well... I got a lot of people I want to app this time around. I may even end up with two against my better judgement.

character: gerudoking
series: Legend of Zelda
apping priority: ■■■■□: Pretty high. He's the one I want to app the most, especially since I have someone who may app with me... two months later.
muse strength: ■■■□□: Haven't voice tested him or played him in a long time, so I'm not sure. But he's one of my oldest muses.
cast strength: ■■■□□: The cast at Luceti isn't the most active around, but this isn't really a problem, since there won't be a ton of interaction anyway.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Unlike Bowser and Aku, Ganondorf will be able to lay low and forge alliances, maybe sway some hapless heroes to help him. I even thought about him joining the Blue Rogues.
general fun level: ■■□□□□: Things will have to play out just right for him to work, I think. I don't want him to end up being like Macbeth or John Stewart where I'm not sure what to do with him.
likelihood of drop: ■■■■■: It's me.

character: sleepswithpigs
series: Pirates of the Caribbean
apping priority: ■□□□□: ... not too high. I'm excited for him, but he's a muse that I got like... two days ago.
muse strength: ■■■■□: He's surprisingly easy to play, though as the threads wore on I felt his dialect slipping. He's a character I'd only be able to play when in the right mood.
cast strength: ■■■■■: You couldn't ask for a better Jack and Norrington than Sara and Gavin, which is why he's so tempting. A possible Barbossa doesn't hurt either.
plotting capabilities: ■□□□□: Aside from get involved in the hijinks of Jack's life, I honestly have no idea what he'd do besides get pissed drunk at the bar all the time.
general fun level: ■■■■□: From his D_M post, he's awesome. I just wonder how long I could keep it up.
likelihood of drop: ■■■■■: It's me.

character: acosmiccastaway
series: Titan A.E.
apping priority: ■■□□□: The desire to pick him up comes and goes, usually whenever "Cosmic Castaway" comes on.
muse strength: ■■■□□: Pretty strong. Sometimes I struggled in Elegante and I messed up a lot before, but I think I could fix that.
cast strength: □□□□□: N/A
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: A lot like Gibbs, unfortunately. He would be my 'smart guy' and space man, which I've been wanting to have again. He's also a genius mechanic, but he'd be little better than a civilian who likes to pick fights with people bigger than him.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Pretty fun back when I played him. His bitterness against humanity is fun to play with, though I dunno if it would work as well in this setting. The Elegante was kind of similar to being in a space station. Luceti... not so much.
likelihood of drop: ■■■■■: It's me.

character: harveyinmyhead
series: Farscape
apping priority: ■■□□□: A lot like Cale, I've been itching to try him again. I regret dropping him as hastily as I did. I panicked, okay.
muse strength: ■■■□□: I think I have a solid voice for him (and Scorpius), it's getting into his motivations that concern me. Especially regarding Aeryn. The fact I don't really like John/Aeryn as a couple is a bad sign.
cast strength: □□□□□: N/A
plotting capabilities: ■■■□□: A bit better than Cale. He's from modern day Earth and a total sucker for pop culture references, which is fun. He's got that automatic live action bonus. And for combat plots... he's better in a fight than Cale is, at least.
general fun level: ■■■■□: When I'm in the right thread, he's awesome. Other times I have no idea what I'm doing. So it's really touch and go with him.
likelihood of drop: ■■■■■: It's me.
