Dyed wool on the line
So I broke out the Koolaid and simmered wads of wool that are now swinging in mesh bags on the clothesline. Nothing like cooking up a big pot of hair.
I dyed a good deal of it deep red with wild cherry flavor, as I'd like to make a little jointed devil when the various cats are done. I also have orange (orange + outrageous orange), yellow (lemonade + several squirts of food coloring), pink (pink lemonade and kiwi watermelon), green (lemon lime), and as an afterthought, blue (berry punch).
I had hoped they'd dry a little faster than they are, but I have places I can hang them in here, too. It will still be a bit too wet yet to garden, so I may be able to get some felting done this week. We are going to the Amish store tomorrow, taking both moms and an aunt for the outing. Happy Spring.
