So today......Today sucked ass. And not in the fun, sexy way.

I was scheduled for 11-7. I had a hard time falling asleep last night, so I was still tired when I woke up. On top of that, not only is my sinus pain back, it's worse. The antibiotics didn't work. That, or I didn't have an infection. So I took some Tylenol when I got to work, but I hadn ( Read more... )

Today when I went through the drive through, and the girl said "HI Welcome to Taco Bell can I take your order" I said "Sure, but first how are you today?" and she sounded SO SHOCKED when she answered, but was really nice once I got to the window. Are most people rude or something?

I'm always nice at the drive through because I don't want bodily fluids in my food, kthx. Plus, it's a job and it sucks enough without customers making it worse. Also, I hate cooking, so I'm happy to pay someone else to do it.

It's not so much that everyone's rude, it's that they really don't care about the employee, so we really don't care right back. Or they'll act like our lives should completely center around them, when really we're thinking about other stuff while we're taking their order. It always catches me off guard when customers ask how I'm doing cause it's so rare that they do.

I'll let you in on a little secret: I've never seen or heard of anyone putting any sort of bodily fluid in the food. Maybe it's just cause our store layout means the customer can watch us cook, but we've never done anything like that. Okay, a few times we've put a spot of super hot sauce on a taco, but each time we did that the person was a drunk who'd come through drive five minutes to close and ordered a bunch of food. Usually we just leave the food alone and bitch about the customer afterwards.

Still, thank you for being such a compassionate customer. ^^ We appreciate it.
