My poi arrived! My poi arrived! The arrived either yesterday or Friday, which in any case means that they got here extra quickly, and they are now in my possession! Yay!

As of yesterday, my poi were scheduled to arrive in four to six days. Most companies in the States will specify "four to six business days" or somesuch. The phrasing in this case, though, simply said "seven to nine days", which would mean four to six as of yesterday ( Read more... )

So the longest I'd gone before without updating this gorram thing was about six months. Now it has been about six months again since I last updated. This is just ridiculous. I need to consolidate. My boots arrived on Friday instead of Monday! So I've had them all weekend, and I've been wearing them around the house today to break them in. I love them. I even bought a dress to go with them. Well, "go with them" as in make for a high-contrast outfit, a la River Tam's outfits ( Read more... )

Just a quick update to note that I just got another email confirming that my boots have ACTUALLY SHIPPED now! Wheee! And the tracking information works now, so I'm even more psyched!

I have spent various bits of time over the past year looking for a particular pair of boots. They are the boots worn by River Tam in "Firefly", and they proved strangely difficult to track down.
