4 day weekend summary
well due to the senior field trip to Disneyland on thursday-friday, i am not going to school nor the trip. so thursday i spent alot of the time on updating the accounting in the morning. then later i went to the bank to deposit money and also went to B&N to pick up the last 3 books of my Love Hina mangas. im going to try and read then slowly to savor it. later was more starcraft time with friends and such.
friday: mom asked me to search for a hotel in monterey. i ended up choosing a 2-star day inn that had one room left and a $108 per day fee for AAA members. we booked it and then later on peter and pierre came over. we played smash and also pierre showed off his skills and also how he can do this kewl glitch that makes link go flying.
saturday: amasingly we were already packed and moving out at 8ish. first stop was starbucks where i got a carmel frap. it was a huge line cuz apparently there is some A's game thinge today, but it didnt effect traffic too much. we continued our journey by the directions from mapquest and ended up at the hotel at 11ish. it didnt look too bad, all i need it for is a place to sleep anyway. our room was accross the street in the second part of the hotel on the "second" floor (third if u count the parking area). so after patiently waiting for teh ppl to prep the room (check in time is normally 3pm or somethin) so i had time to read more LH, which i ended up finishin book #12. we got upstairs and the first major flaw was THE TV REMOTE DIDNT WORK!!! O.o we got that fixed by walkin to the office for a replacement but still cmon man! anyways after that we were hungry and went to a nearby all u can eat chinese thing ($4.99). it was prity good but felt odd cuz everyone there were oriental. after that we went wanderin around and eventually ended up at the shore. so we walked along it for a bit and admired the view and eventually dan got bored so we went to a kite store he was beggin to go to that he saw. at the kite store i bought a new X-zylo cuz i lost my old one (one of those flying rings u throw). neither mom nor dan bought anything there. then we went to the restroom in the mall and when we came back dan all of a sudden wanted to get a X-zylo also (i think it was cuz i had it on my arm so he thought it looked kewl, ya know one of those "cool big bro" things). so we went back to the guy and bought it with exact change. on the way back to the car i warned dan not to put it far on his arm cuz it might get stuck and amazingly seconds later he does just that! LMAO! he really has to learn to listen to directions. mom saved teh day after about 5 mins of trying to get it off (it was mostly cuz it was past the elbow). then we went further down shore a few times and looked at teh beach and critters and such. one of these visits dan decided to go fly a kite without askin us. so i eventually warn him that it may dive down into the rocks and its not a good spot to fly at. so he tries to bring it down but then it does end up goin into the water, heh. later we go to this nice mexican food place. i had a chicken mole which was very good (they even had my favorite root beer brand ^-^). on the way out of the resturaunt some homeless guy drove up on a motorcycle askin if we wanted our windows washed and for spare change, but we declined. then we went up the street to our hotel room to end the day. so we relaxed and watched TV and played cards and such. but at one point dan noticed that water was rising from the sink's drain. it wasnt anythin bad at first cuz it would rise and fall and rise and fall. eventually it just started to overflow like mad. so we had to call the registers office for them to fix it and this took a while. i was bucketing the water into the tub so that it wouldnt ruin everything. apparently this was the first time in 15yrs this ever happened (there was a clog in the pipes, so they used the water snake to fix it). after he fixed ours and the ppl below us (which apparently theres was about 10 times as worse cuz it flooded bathroom AND bedroom floors and the water had all this black gunk in it) we finally went to bed.
Sunday: dan and i were the first ones as far as i know to get to the continental breakfest thinge. i grabed some OJ, fruit loops, and a bagel. so we watched a bit of dexters lab then went back to the room to shower and pack up. unfortunetly dan seems to be cursed or something cuz he discovered that the same little X-zylo of his that got stuck on his arm yesterday was steped on by himself in the car. well anyways we check out of the hotel (which we got only like 10% for all that plumbin stuff) and ventured off to the monterey bay aquarium. the line was huge but we got in eventually. there was a new shark exibit in the place which was kinda kewl. so we took our time wanderin around the entire place. eventually we had lunch (i had spagetti and meetballs) and then exited the place. after all that walkin/standin my feet were dog tired and my back wasnt so good either. we stoped at a little shop nextdoor which had the funniest/cuttest shirt that was titled "Harry Otter", so we got one for my cousin and i got a blue pair of sunglasses. then we went to the shore again and while me and mom rested in the car dan went out and flew the kite again. when he was all done dan blundered again by leaving the kite on the top of the van. luckly the traffic wasnt bad on the side of the street that it landed on so we were able to retrieve it in one piece. then by followin out directions in reverse order (yep im a clever one) we ventured home.
