a blog entry! =O
to celebrate this unofficially official school holiday that we like to call Senior Cut Day, i shall enter a blog entry! ^-^
ok well, uh... lets start with friday. unlike usual school days it was a bit more interesting. in math it was almost empty since most of the smartass ppl are juniors and they were doing AP test (sry if i offend some smart ppl, im sure u worked hard on that test) so we did even less than usual, if that is even possible o.O
then in auto tech we worked on the engine for the last time (well he said such things before, but i think he means it this time). supposeively we are going to start working on the electricity unit starting next class. so my group tried to do what we could to our useless engine (which seems to be stolen every other class -.-). trying to be productive, i organized our little wall mounted tool storage box. so then we packed up stuff and it was about to end as usuall untill one group made one last attempt... they started up their engine again even though the teacher warned them something was wrong with it. sure enough the engine runs way too fast and the camshaft goes crashing through the engine block wall!!! it left about a 3inch wide hole right next to the leg of the person sitting on the engine (which someone does have to sit on it so that the engine is balanced). im sure the student now enjoys his right ankle more than usual now, he said he would "buy it a new pair of socks". lol.
in internet pub i worked more on the Final. for those who dont know, we have the rest of the year to do it and we can work on it anytime (basically like a worksheet). i went through the whole thing already, now i just have to do the problems that i skipped. also i had fun playin around with sour, i think we kept on pushing eachother back and fourth or somethin... heh.
after school pete hosted another smash tourney. this time there were 8 players ($3 entry fee), rich (pete's bro) couldnt play cuz of his broken wrist. i did horrible, i was matched up against the same guy twice and lost both times. i did win the 3 player wild card event though so it wasnt a total loss. i dont know why but i wasnt too interested in smash at the time so i played with rich on SC for a bit. and of course Pierre won the smash tourney's $24 prize, followed close behined by Dan (no, not my bro) which was a bit of a shock since last time i played him i beat him easily.
Saturday: first i did some chores, played a bit of sc, and then later i went biking. i biked over to B&N and hung out there. unfortunetly they didnt have LH #10 and i didnt feel like reserving it yet. so i just hung out looking at stuff. i also went into the computer reference area to try and learn more advanced networking stuff but i think it is easier to find that stuff online. later i came back home and mom picked us up to go to a mom's day dinner at a good italian place somewhere. it was a good thing i skipped lunch cuz it was a big dinner with: soup, salad, bread, garlic bread, spagetti, raviole, and my dish (which was a very good chicken thing with red sauce, it was kinda messy though cuz it had bones but out of all the dishes everyone liked how mine looked).
Sunday: moms day! dan made breakfest for mom and gave her the $20 starbucks card that me and dan bought for her. now she has 3 (which later in the day she uses up one of em). then after packing up and cleaning up we went off to grandmas house. i drove there (first time for me on the freeway), it was stop and go traffic in antioch but was finally moving once we went over the hills. at grandmas we gave her a $12,000 diamond watch for a grandma-day gift. o and she gave me a $50 check for my belated b-day. also we talked with uncle frank and uncle bob for a while and admired grandmas new fridge. we couldnt stay for the mothers day BBQ cuz we had to get moving to the beach.
after we left her house we decided to go to uncle lances house instead. heh, i was greeted at the door by faith (their dog) who, as my aunt mary jo put it, was so excitied she seemed to be having an orgasim. lol. the weird part was that she wasnt as excited about anyone else entering the front door.... o well, im no dog expert.
so as luck would have it, the day before they got Comcast High Speed Internet. i helped set up thier network (consisting of a Sony laptop, iBook laptop, Airport router, cable modem, and a networked printer) which took up the entire afternoon (from about 3pm to 10:30pm). i dont mind though cuz i love networkin and stuff ^-^. so there were many many things i had to do including: windows updates for sony laptop, upgrading iBook to Jaguar OS, reseting the Airport cuz they forgot the password, configuring the security settings on the airport so only they can access it, updating various software on the iBook, setting up the networkable printer to the router, showing them how to use the iBook, setting up their new emails, and installing a network card on the sony laptop. there were things that slowed me down including: my lack of knowledge of the eye-candy filled computers we call Macs, dan messing things up cuz he thinks he knows what he is doing (he put the cable in the wrong port on the router which cost me about 2-3hrs of troubleshooting; him getting in the way of me installing things cuz he wanted to play stupid internet games, etc), mary jo not trusting me with her 4-digit password cuz she was afraid i would tell lance so i had to ask her to enter it in almost constantly, and my lil cousin ian playing his computer games (i didnt want to push him off, thats just wrong). in the end the $100 was well worth it, and its a good thing cuz if he wasnt gonna pay me anything (its basically a donation, i have not decided what i am going to charge ppl yet) i dont think i would like him anymore.
