Screenplays
I should write a couple of movies.
I've noticed a trend toward stories about divorced people and finding their footing in life again. I could write that. I could make a straight drama or a comedic drama. Hell...I could write a sci-fi or fantasy bent on the theme. Fullmetal Alchemist deals with similar themes (loss and recovering from tragedy) in a Steampunk vein.
I'm writing (not really) a serial about a character I've loved for a while. The idea was to keep my writing stimulated. Practice, practice, practice. I figured I might be able to adapt it to a series of scripts later. Why not write my own television show? I complain enough about the crap on TV.
I've been interested in learning the ways of screenplays and script writing for a while now. I have plenty of stories to tell. I even have a halfway decent plot for Ghostbusters III that I'm pretty sure would sell with the original cast and the public at large.
