I've begun my seasonal work, and I passed my qualification tests. Now I just need to hunker down and do it. Wish me luck!

This is so frustrating.

First, my application was kicked out (probably for not having 4.0 scale grades for graduate school). And I finally got it re-instated, and now they are only taking tutors for Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and Statistics. A few things, actually.

My copy of Le Chevalier D'Eon arrived. We've watched through ep. 7 before I conked out.

My cold is kind of better in some ways, but not in all ways. I won't gripe about it too much. The kind of better part is something.

And Cantropos has been hired at one of the other call centers here in Rockford. He starts on the 26th.

There are people who will think this is irresponsible, and there are people who will think this is grand. I bought a laptop on Monday afternoon. It's a Toshiba Satellite L450, and much bigger than I thought I could afford. Hurray for inventory reducing sales ( Read more... )

NC may still happen, but it's not going to happen before Christmas. That, by itself, is a relief. I'll hunt down and answer Christmas card things now. I don't know if we can afford to send many out ourselves.

There isn't any point keeping it private now. When he got home, he explained that some employees found out about this on Facebook! So, I'm letting a wider range of people know. Cantropos has been laid off. He has work until the middle of December, but no more. The call center is closing.

Yesterday was a lot of running around. I'm not working as many hours as I've promised, and it is worrying me. Distractions are hard to ignore. And yesterday I had to drive Cantropos to work, vote in the local elections, and do the grocery shopping.  I did get all those things done though.
