Almost a 3 Day Weekend
So it's Tuesday night. Tomorrow I go to the dentist for basically an all day appointment. Without going into details, suffice it to say I hope to be walking out of there with LOTS of painkillers onboard....and a giant Pez dispenser filled with more at the ready.
So this past weekend we had our garage sale. It went okay. Was damned hot out. Thank god I was actually sitting IN the garage with 2 fans blowing and lots of water to drink. I think I hate people now. Never have I dealt with people who were so rude/annoying/cheap. A perfectly good lamp made of iron and looking like bronze with a really cool glass shape and it works perfectly. $5.00 just because we have no use for it.....someone wanting to pay only $1.00 for it. Please. Why don't you just give me $5.00 and take everything we have for sale. And for them to pull this poor crap...when they are driving up in cars that are newer and better than mine.....I don't think so.
It got to be a game with me to try and piss people off so they WOULDN'T buy something.
And today I went to Albertson's to renew my car tags? Fine...no problem...until the guy pointed out that I had to get new plates......EXCUSE ME? In California they MAIL the new plates to you...or you never need to get them! So now at some point I am going to have to take off work before the end of business on Friday, find this damn place and get my new plates. Because, you know, the County/State Controller can't be open on a Sat. when people are actually OFF FROM THEIR JOBS and can run errands like this.
Just have to breathe deep....it's a 3 day weekend.
And speaking of 3 day weekends, going to the Fort Worth Museum on Sat. to see the Star Wars exhibit they have there. Don't know how good it will be, but beats sweeping the garage out.
Hopefully I will be coherent enough to post tomorrow night.
