Gee....has it been a year already?
Okay.....will try and get this down to the bare bones (hehehehe he said bone heheheheh)
1. Oct. 2006 trip to Bay Area with the hubby. Had a blast. Saw Jason (aka discowoof/sarcastickub) and invited him to Beach Blanket Babylon. Had a blast. Whole trip was wonderful. Didn't want to return to Dallas.
2. Holidays 2006. Went by so quickly. Happened to fast. Great Xmas gift from my folks...trip to the Bahamas with the family in July 2007.
3. Feb. 2007 I turned 41....and I'm REAL happy about it. Worked on the Column Awards Gala. Was invited to perform in a Bob Fosse number for a fund raiser at Unity Church of Dallas. Also same group was invited to perform at Make a Wish benefit at Dallas Market Center...in front of 650 people...oh..did I mention both events are on the same night? Nothing like performing a 5 min. number (Sing Sing Sing) and then rushing 20 miles away to perform again an hour or so later. The next morning was an "OWIE!!!!!" experience.
4. March 2007 - Column Awards Gala. Awards show a success. Got to meet and hang out with Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Kate Monter, Lucy T. Slut from Avenue Q), Michael Urie (Marc from UGLY BETTY), Richard Thomas and George Wendt (in town doing 12 Angry Men) and Christian Campbell (Uh....yummy with a spoon). All were incredible. I developed an instanct crush on Stephanie. Michael and I and 2 other friends smoked cigars on the patio of a restaurant in Dallas.
Also in March...started rehearsals for THE MIKADO at a local theater (I was Citizen of Japan #1 in the program) also played one of Katisha's guards (she dubbed us her flying monkeys. I called myseld Kawasaki). Up until opening week I was NOT having a good time. Director was a mad man. There is a fine line between genius and insanity....he tended to play hopscotch with it. 2 nights before opening I finally got into the groove vocally and mentally. 4 week run of the show. Heavy clown white/Kabuki make-up, great costumes, my wig I named "Wednesday Addams" (I looked like a fat Wednesday Addams in it) and waaaaay too much drama backstage led to an overall fun experience.
April 2007 - The Tax Man Commeth and Taketh from me...again!
May and June 2007 - Lots of playing WoW...once The Mikado ended.
July 2007 - One week trip to Harbour Island, Bahamas. Had a blast. Slept, ate lots of seafood, spent quality time with my mom, dad, sister, brother in law and 2 nephews (who I got to share a room with...poor kids)
August 2007 - Lots of dental work needed. Thank god for the folks since my insurance stinks. My dentist has said I am her "work in progress" now that we have my blood pressure under control. (Yeah Adovan!)

Sept. 2007 - 3 vocal lessons before my audition on the 22nd (more on that later).....
Gay Pride Weekend in Dallas!! Six Flags, here I come on Sept. 15th.
Sept. 22nd 1p, Garland, Texas: Vocal and reading auditions for Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to be performed locally. Pray for mojo!
