Back from Mulanje!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome weekend, arrived in Blantyre on Friday, Stayed at an Ex AV rep's house, really nice place, with Jon,Pete,Charlie,Ali, Jess and Claire. Woke up at 4.30, picked up the other Av's and headed on to Mulanje.
Mulanje is just awesome, we first saw it around 7.30, this dark pillar of rock just rising from the ground, absolutly massive, the clouds surronded the bottom as well as the top. Had to go thro8ugh thuis massive tea estate to get there. Climbed for 6 hours, goin through dense forest, climbin over wet rock and down muddy paths.
Stopped off at a place called breakfast rock, this rock that juts out with a sheer fall and an awesome view over a water fall. Stayed the nite at the top. Camped outside, had some drinks and discussed free travel plans with Jon and Pete. Came down the next mornin, 4 hours down. Team Hardcore (Me,Dave and Flora) first down. Then went to the owner of teh Tea estates house and had a swim in his pool. b4 heading back to St>ants. Spent the nite there.
Headed bk to Likuni Monday and was bak by 6.00. Did my first bit of toatally solo travellin, Pete got off at Dedza and it was another 3 hours to Likuni. Was quite a kool experience, nothin happened, just nice to be doin summat solo. Next Weekend Blantyre, then after that only one whole weekend left in Malawi, will proabably stay at the school.
