Alright already! You people can shut up about all this stupid lovey-dove business already! Guess what? No one cares! So can it already! Yeesh.

So now that you're all shutting up about your sad and empty personal lives, what's with all this heart shaped candy in the store? All of this stuff written on it is stupid and they taste almost as bad as ( Read more... )

[So Jennifer was not here for the Valentine's Day fiasco experiment last year, and thus had absolutely no idea she should avoid the journal in the first place. However, she does realize that this voice is a bit familiar, though she can't place where as she is probably trying to block out that entire horrible tennis match out of her head.]

Um...I-I think it's just for...Valentine's Day...

[She realizes too late who it is- oh dear lord, it's that dragon thing that tried to abduct her.

...Somehow though, he seems less...traumatizing this time around. Some part of her attempts to grasp ahold of the receding panic, but...it just doesn't seem to be working.]

[He could snap at her, as he remembers that this is the girl that absolutely sucked at tennis, lacking in any talent whatsoever. Then he realizes maybe he was too hard on her. Then he realizes that she'll never learn unless he's tough. So she gets a gruff, moody reply.]

Valentine's Day? What kind of a lame name for a holiday is that?

It's a holiday for lovers...so, um...that's why there's candy. People would give candy or roses to people they care about.

[People are scary anyway. Getting a gift from an admirer would only serve to fluster her and make her nervous. No, she was fine with not receiving anything today; she could be happy for the ones who did have someone special in their life.

Though all the same, it's a little...disappointing that her conversation partner found the whole thing ridiculous. It might have been nice to find something to give to him, maybe help to make him a little less angry...

[Even as he's talking to her, he's looking at some of the candy that actually is kind of nice. Big chocolate stuff. That's what people like? Better than dumb candy hearts. He tosses some of it in a big paper sack. You know, just in case.]
