Of course, it helps to get to the center of your anxiety, and figure out why you're so worked-up in the first place. Time for me to play Zen psychoanalyst (complete with bamboo couch).
To me, it sounds like you want to move forward, but can't, and this is what's pissing you off. If this is so, then what do you feel is holding you back? Where do you think you're going? Or do you feel as though you're standing still while everything else moves (the reality being that everything moves, it's just your mind that believes you're not going anywhere).
On the other hand, I'm no longer privy to the lives of many Bulldrekkers, if any at all.
JFC, I'm sorry to hear that. I heard Illinois had a healthier economy than ours.
Me, I'm working a job that barely pays $8/hr, and I'm only doing it because there's no way I'd qualify for unemployment. I graduated from college back in May, yet cannot afford the applications for grad school.
However, I also live in Michigan, where employment opportunities are so bad that the map of our state could be used as box art for the next Left 4 Dead game. I've got a last-ditch plan to fly over to GA with some relatives in the hopes that things are better down South (something I thought I'd never hear myself say), but that's about as "by-the-seat-of-my-pants" as I can get right now.
What a coincidence. I, too, expect to be in Atlanta by September. My first plan of action is to find a real job, the kind that doesn't involve a shitload of heavy lifting.
And yeah...I should've given Daki some words of encouragement, myself, but my mood about the economy is wary.
The South is NOT where it's at. Trust me. I've been outa work for over a year now. At least- don't touch South Carolina for any amount because it's worthless here. Georgia is better- but not by much.

it does, but remember it's all relative: someone with "just" the flu is considered healthier than someone with pneumonia, but both are Seriously Unwell.

Hang in there, Daki, and keep working at it. Things will turn around eventually.
