Why do I not have a heart condition?

Good lord. It feels like Major League Baseball tries to kill me every postseason. First, last night's game goes till 2:15am thanks to piss poor scheduling, and I miss the Brad Lidge save (though I did make it until 1:15am), and tonight the Phils lead the game until the bottom of the 8th inning, when they give up 3 runs to give Colorado a 2 run lead. And then, down to their last strike in the top of the 9th, they battle back and regain the lead with 2 outs. And then, Scott Eyre gets two out, but lets two runners on, and then Brad Lidge comes back in the game and finally makes the last out and we clinch a spot in the NLCS for the second year in a row.

And after standing all day at work, not getting home until 7:50pm, I'm standing and pacing until that last out is made. And my throat is hoarse from yelling at the TV. And I couldn't eat until the game was over because my stomach churns too much to eat during a postseason game. Gah. This is what Philly sports does to you.

So, the good part is they won. The bad part is they won and I have to go through this stress all over again. But at least the next series doesn't start until Thursday, which means I'll have two peaceful nights!

Wait. I have tooth issues and the Phillies are facing the Dodgers in the NLCS? What year is this? 2008? Oh wait. The Dodgers have home field advantage this time round. Meh. All that means is we'll clinch it at home.

Okay. I think the adrenaline has worn enough that I can sleep now. Phew.

Gah.

let's go phils!, teeth of doom!
