I had emails from both Awesome Boss and the former professor in my inbox this morning. Awesome Boss said what I thought, that she'd be happy to do it as long as I could wait until the end of November to receive it. I'm going to double check with the advisor but I'm hoping that will be okay. It was the other email I was more worried about, but the professor said she "certainly remembered me" (hopefully in a good way...) and that she would happily write me a reference as long as she was given some time to do so.
Now what I have to do is double check with my advisor 1) when I should ideally have my references and 2) how they're supposed to submit their letters. I also need to tell her what universities I'll be applying to which, other than Kingston I don't know, so I need to look over my options again, and I need to email back Awesome Boss and the professor and confirm with them when I need their letters by and how they're supposed to submit them.
But...progress! I'm glad I forced myself to be productive last night and sent those emails.
As for the rest of today, went in to work at 10am and started working on the drug sample shelves which need serious organizing. There were a few walk in patients that stumbled our way, and I had to run to a nearby pharmacy to pick up some nitroglycerin. But, most of the time I was working on the drug cabinet. As of 5pm I was still working on the drug cabinet. The doc's ADD can be really frustrating sometimes. Actually, a lot of the time. The worst part about it is that he doesn't give himself a schedule, so nobody that works for him has a schedule. So, though I knew I was to come in at 10, I had no idea what time I was supposed to leave. Two? Three? Five? Who knew? None of us did. It made the day really drag.
Tomorrow is Thursday, right? And I'm very much looking forward to the weekend. I didn't get anything accomplished last weekend since I was at my sister's, and I'm itching to write. Seriously itching. Hopefully I'll have some time Saturday after Harry's puppy class, and I'll definitely be hitting up Starbucks on Sunday.
