I did try writing today, but it was harder leaving Harry alone when I was at the house with him and my mom was out doing errands and practicing the organ. I tried bringing him up to my room, but everything was too exciting for him to settle down. So, I put him in the kitchen and went back up to my room, and he was upset about that, so I only stayed in my room for a half hour (the length of the Homeward Bound soundtrack.) I kept letting myself get distracted by
culf , so I only wrote about a page. Then, I went back downstairs and took Harry and my stuff out on the back porch. Again, he wouldn't settle and I kept having to take leaves and acorns out of his mouth, so there wasn't much focusing to be had and we went inside after another half hour. Then I just watched episodes of "Police Women of Broward County" and "Untold Stories of the ER."
Mom, Dad, and I went to see Harry Potter after that, me for the second time, they for the first. Now I can finally take my dad to see District 9 because he didn't want to see anything until he had seen Harry Potter. I don't know if he knows District 9 is an allegory for apartheid, so I don't know if he'll like it. He doesn't tend to like his SciFi movies with political allegory, but hey, if I take him, he pays, so I'll just keep my mouth shut.
Phillies are on now and I need a shower before I sit down and watch them (hopefully) beat Atlanta.
Tomorrow = dentist appointment at 10:30am, errands at the bank, and people coming to fix our garage door at 2pm. Hopefully I'll get some writing done in between. Other than that, it's a light week for family errands. Yay!
No Starbucks - 5 days and counting...
(PS - Saw Bruce Forsythe on an episode of "It's Me or the Dog" last night and now I finally get that LoM joke.)
