I did what I said I was going to do and holed myself up in my room this morning/afternoon and did some writing. I decided the most pressing matter was the novel synopsis. How am I supposed to sell this frakking thing if the synopsis isn't query ready yet? (Yes, I just conjugated the fictitious word "frak.")
I made some Irish Breakfast Tea in my Starbucks mug I got from the pub, put on the Homeward Bound soundtrack (I couldn't help myself! But it didn't make me cry, at least), and got down to work. I actually only had a little bit to do, thank god, so I finished it up and just sent it off to Awesome Boss. As she's busy working overseas, I don't know how long it'll take to hear back from her, but I've waited this long and I can wait some more. Her opinion has been pretty invaluable to me, to say the least.
In the meantime, I'll keep working on Novel #2 and I think look for a different agency to query first. The more I've thought about it, the more I think the agency I was planning on querying isn't the right one for me, in terms of the authors and books they represent. So, that will give me something to do while I wait to hear from Awesome Boss.
I'm going to eat some lunch now before Harry's puppy class.
I was able to edit without Starbucks, hopefully I'll be able to write without it as well.
No Starbucks - 4 days and counting...
