The best way to support me isn't to do things for me. I grew up in a life of privilege. The best way to support me is to let me do things for you without complaint or hurt, to let me be able to remember how to trust people. You take it for granted, but I'm only just starting to meet people who don't want to abuse me.

So, if there is someone you have a crush on, but you can only approach them at their place of work, how do you deal with it?

I'm curious to know.

I am suddenly very comfortable with the notion that my bff and my second-closest bff can be 13 years apart.

It makes a lot of sense, really.

I'm good at creating safe spaces, but I know most people don't want to build safe spaces because that involves some vulnerability, and our generation is terrified of taking risks. It's pretty sad. I'm a pretty awesome person, so why are people chickenshit with me? I'm delightful to be around, I swear.

Today was actually quite awful, despite my declaration yesterday. It is far worse to be unable to help than to be helpless. Why can't I pick other people up now that I've picked myself up, even though when I'm down, it seems only then I'm allowed to pick people up? How about everyone pick each other up? Assholes. Sigh.

But too much giver is also a problem.

Tonight's been rough. Tomorrow should be better. The next day will be rough. Friday should be better, maybe. Saturday's looking good?

I have to get more diligent about looking for jobs in Portland, too.

I think I am very pleased with how everything is going right now. Burning bridges never felt so good.
