Not a Coincidence - A Matter of God's Perfect Timing
A little over two years ago I installed a Guest Map on my website's server (http://westjuneau.com/v-web/globetrotter/). At the time the software was in Alpha, not Beta form and had some problems, none visible to the people who added themselves to the map. At the time I thought I'd get around to trying to fix the problems but two years has passed since then.
The day before yesterday I looked at the Guest Map for the first time in almost a month and found another entry (the program is supposed to e-mail me when a new entry is made, but that is one of the bugs in the program, a feature that doesn't work). The Guest Map however wasn't working right... the little people icons were visible but the balloons that show the name and message weren't. I found out that the most recent entry was from a man in Spain who on August 20 had added himself and his weather station website where he lived. When I deleted his entry everything worked fine again. I later reposted his entry after having figured out what the problem with his entry was.
Yesterday, hoping to find a later version of the software, I went to the site of the outfit that had coded the Guest Map but they were no longer there and it was now just a holding website. I found a later version at sourceforge.net and installed it but that caused all sorts of other problems. I then reverted back to the original version and with more fiddling got it back to normal again.
That evening I was curious about the link to the software company and tried it again....this time getting a website with links to "naturist" and nudist pictures, camps and organizations! I quickly removed the link at the bottom of the Guest Map that had linked to the sofware company and all is well.
All would not have been well though if the man in Spain hadn't posted his entry which goofed up the program, and that I on the VERY DAY the website was loaded with pages promoting "naturism" and nudist behavior, decided to check for the first time in more than two years the link to the software company. The new pages had been uploaded that very afternoon as I was fussing with installing the updated version and then undoing it!
It is a testament to God looking out for His children and having events happen just when they need to happen for the benefit of His own.
CORRECTION: I had installed the Guest Map on May 3- 4, 2005, so 1 year, 4-1/2 months ago.
