Forecast of Widespread Frost Tonight

Sep 14, 2006 17:01

The National Weather Service in Juneau is forecasting widespread frost tonight since the low is predicted to be around 33 degrees F. Since we're near the Channel, we'll probably be around 35 degrees but it will depend on the wind. The Tuddlebugs are getting their winter coats out of storage - there have been reports of termination dust (snow) on some of the higher peaks in Southeastern Alaska and in the past we have had snow on the ground on the first day or two of October. Right now it's totally clear, sun is shining, and a neighbor just mowed his lawn so there is the smell of freshly cut grass in the air. Oh...and the temperature is 57 degrees.

EDIT: The low for the night was 37.8 degrees at 7:08 a.m. Sept. 15, the low at the Airport was 30 degrees.
