Ben's parents are home from Europe, I picked them up from the train station around 12.30ish. It is now super awkward in the house, I am hiding at the computer.
My eyes hurt from all the time I've been spending on the computer, but sadly, this time shall NEVER END as my educators, in all their infinite wisdom, have assigned a Limited Time Essay - they put the question online at midday today, and we have to hand in our 1500 word referenced essays by 5pm tomorrow. Jerkholes.
Also, the Department of Educ - I think it's them - won't let you look at the Quality Teaching model Classroom Practice guide unless you log in, which means you have to be a teacher employed by them. Why? I don't know. Maybe they're afraid that someone will have a good idea from looking at their stuff, which I know is revolutionary. Jerks.
Which means, to access this sort of information, I probably have to go home, which I can't do until 8pm at the earliest, which means I'll probably just do it tomorrow, and hate the system.
On the plus side, GG's season 2 episode 2 is almost downloaded, on the negative, I won't get to watch it, probably. Although if I copy it to my USB, then I can watch it on my baby computer and no-one will be the wiser.
Also on the downside, I have no idea where the eff to start with my limited time essay question, which is this:
“The basic premise of constructivism is that knowledge is obtained and understanding is expanded through active construction and reconstruction of mental frameworks. Learning is not a passive process of simply receiving information - rather it involves deliberate, progressive construction and deepening of meaning. Understanding involves the development of valid connections between new and existing knowledge and experiences” (Killen, 2007 p.7)
In an essay response, examine how the implementation of at least two of the strategies you have studied in this course contributes to learning and the development of knowledge. You should incorporate the Quality Teaching Model in your analysis and illustrate your discussion with examples from your teaching specialization. You should support your answer with professional reading and appropriately reference your work. (1500 words)
Because one line questions are just too darn easy.
