Shit

Looks like Riza had been wrong after all. These guys were finally getting serious and really, what the hell could they do at this point? People disappearing out of thin air was rather out of his domain, and apparently impossible to counter by anyone around. Shit... was this really as far as he could go? For the first time in what now seemed like an eternity ago, he felt rather helpless. Oh, he had pretty much gathered anything that could be a weapon and shoved it in his coat. He was going to make sure that if there was even a chance that he would be standing as they took him away, he was going to make them pay, hard. No, what he was actually afraid for was... that he was really going to lose her for real this time.

Humans can really be bastards, don't you think so?

He silently cursed at Daniel and his great luck. He managed to get out of here before this whole thing started, the lucky bastard. He hadn't made much friends around in Manhattan, mostly being distant to everyone, but he was still worried about what was to come with them. At least Riza sounded like she had been waiting for this for a long time, that was good, somehow. In a way, she had the best mindset for this and he really wished he could just wait like this, armed to the bone and really to go, until his time was up.

But no, instead, he had pretty much slammed his door open, rushing right into the hallway. He had to find Prier, NOW. Things had been weird between them lately, but dammit, this couldn't end like this. She was stronger then him, there was no doubt about that, but right now, the thought of actually having her vanish into the hands of people who saw them as... nothing more then "assets" and getting ready to kill them on sight... or worst, he was pretty much afraid. The fact that once again, if something DID happen, he wouldn't be there and wouldn't be able to do anything was starting to haunt him. He already felt that pain once... and he didn't need to feel it again... or it's consequences.

Real bastards

croix raoul, prier
