HERE THERE BE SKRULLS... or well, not really. )
Pietro had mentioned that there were monsters around, and the destruction itself was a clear testament to that. But still she couldn't help but walk with a bit of a skip to her step simply because she could. She was far from coming to terms with the fact that her powers were barely functioning here, but she couldn't deny the fact that she felt better physically than she had in months. As bad off as this reality seemed to be it had a small part of her looking forward to actually maybe helping some people again. To really being able to. It had been a very long time ( ... )

He'd been feeling kind of detour-y lately. And since the mansion didn't exist in this Manhattan, Billy had sort of unconsciously meandered in the direction of the store. He was kind of surprised to find it was still there - but not as ( ... )

"Uh. Thanks... I guess," he offered, smiling awkwardly before adding, "Whatever that is anyways." There was a short awkward pause between them, only broken by the slight rustling of the comic in his hand before he decided to break it by blurting out, "But I like them so far! The Fantastic Four, I mean. They're pretty sweet and I always dig all the old stuff. The Human Torch is kinda like my friend Hotspot, cept I don't think I've ever seen him actually ( ... )

Attention was directed back to Billy as she spoke to him, his grin widening as she did so, nodding in agreement. “Dude, it’s all about the awesome complexion. But capes are pretty cool. There was this one time that I got to wear my friend Robin’s cape for like, a whole week, and it was sweet,” he trailed off, grinning at the memory, and then fidgeting awkwardly a little. Man, he wished Robin was here. Probably not as much as Starfire did, but…
Shaking his head as if to lift the thoughts from his mind, he raised his hand to his chin and contemplated for a moment, looking Billy up and down and then leaning over to TJ, eyes fixed on Billy. “Hmm, I dunno. Do you think he’s worthy enough to join the exclusive club? I mean a cape and a backstory is pretty ( ... )

As Beast Boy spoke to her, TJ took a few moments to act as though she were really giving the idea of allowing Billy into their 'club' serious consideration. "I guess...we could make an exception this one time. It is a pretty nice cape."

... And the Skrull kid apparently wasn't a Skrull. And didn't even know what one was. Alternate universes again, Billy guessed ... "I've met a couple of okay Skrulls," he offered. "Like, two and a half. But, yeah, mostly they're kind of ... to be avoided."

Beast Boy blinked as they both explained Skrulls more, and leaned forward, tilting his head again. Shapeshifting aliens. That he apparently looked like. That weren't that nice. Well, he could see why people kept asking him if he was an alien, even if he wasn't. Nope. The result of a virus infected green monkey bite, but not an alien. "I can shapeshift too. But I'm totally not one of these Skrull thinggies," he offered, lifting a hand to scratch the back of his neck and laugh a little nervously. "My name's Beast Boy. What're you guys called?"

"TJ Wagner," She replied with a smile, and then shrugged her shoulders, "Or Nocturne. If you prefer the whole codename shtick."

"Uh, I'm Billy. Or Wiccan, but ... the codename kinda doesn't come up much." He glanced at TJ with the curious expression of someone who was trying very hard not to ask something - and then went ahead and asked it anyway. "Hey, uh - any relation to Nightcrawler, or ... is this more alternate universe screwiness?"

Beast Boy blinked as Billy asked TJ a question, sitting back a little and watching, not wanting to interrupt. The name Nightcrawler sounded familiar, but he couldn't put his finger on where he'd heard it from... Anyways, since they both knew about these Skrull aliens, he figured they were from the same universe. Might as well let them 'catch up' or whatever.

She gave Billy a somewhat apologetic smile, "Probably both. Nightcrawler is my father, just probably not your Nightcrawler." Though Billy's reality seemed to have much more in common with her own than Beast Boy's she doubted it was the same- if they were from the same world there was no way they would not know of each other. She'd been on the official x-men team since she was fifteen back home, it was basically public knowledge that she was the daughter of Nightcrawler. And she was at least acquainted with just about every super hero there, but had never heard of a Wiccan before. To officially settle the matter she added, "My dad wears an eyepatch." Her father was the only ( ... )
