Loz arrived with a colorful cardboard box claiming it had "24 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon" in it on one shoulder. The box was opened and only seemed to have 20 or so cans still in it. A bag of assorted other liquor dangled from his other hand. The liquor just took up room in his apartment - apart from some of the bottles being kinda pretty, it was useless to him, so this was a fine opportunity to get rid of it. The beer was from another apartment in the building - but if people actually wanted it here, this was clearly a better place for it ( ... )

Being one of the first ones there, Vincent didn't quite know what to do with himself for the time being; nobody had really arrived yet and it wasn't much of a party. He didn't mind the fact that no-one was going to take his booze, though. Like hell he was sharing.

It was then that his attention turned to the clink of bottles against a table, and he turned to see a large, silver-haired man in black glaring daggers at him. Finally, some fun.

"Hmmph." The Ex-Turk scowled. "Impolite to stare."

Loz immediately looked away, though it was no good trying to pretend that he hadn't been staring. Fine, then, he wouldn't look at the ex-Turk at all. He'd ignore him. Completely.

Glowering, Loz stalked back to the drinks with a heavy step, not quite stomping, and grabbed a bottle of... something. It said "lemonade" so it shouldn't taste as bad as the "Pabst" stuff had, right? Anyway, he was thirsty after dragging all that stuff that he didn't want here.

He wrenched open the bottle and walked right past Vincent, making sure to not look at him at all, and set about exploring the building a little more. There was an entire alcove just full of shoes over here. What was up with that? Who needed that many shoes all in the same style? This place was so weird...

Vincent huffed in annoyance as the silver-haired man brushed him aside. What was with those Remnants always thinking they were so much better than everyone else? He shrugged. Loz stayed out of his hair, and the Ex-Turk would do the same.

The red-cloaked man placed his numerous bottles of wine on the floor and took one out, opening it with the gold gauntlet on his hand and taking a swig.

His annoyance turned to amusement as Loz picked up a bottle of 'lemonade'. Oh, this would be good...

Bathrooms, a counter that used to have food (which mostly just smelled a bit off now, though the candy was probably still fine), the weird shoe section, a few banks of coin-op lockers, some vending machines, the counter by the door... not that much to this place, really. And none of it made any real sense.

Loz took another swig from the bottle - this lemonade stuff wasn't so bad, only tasted a little funny. Pity this one was just about empty though. He swung back by the drink area and snagged a second bottle of the stuff.

He finally settled down on a cushioned seat near one of the hardwood runway-things. He'd better get to watching people since that was what he was supposed to be doing, right? Now where had Tall Dark and Mopey gone?

The wine was making the party a little more interesting, he had to admit. He taken to wandering the bowling alley a bit, finding a few good magazines laying around and actually bowling for a little bit, just to see if he was still any good. But his bottle of wine had been downed already.

Pulling out another bottle of wine and taking a swig, he swayed slightly. He was getting buzzed already? Wow.

He noticed Loz by the lanes in a chair and walked over with a wine bottle. Time for some fun. "Hey."

Chugging nearly two thirds of the second bottle in only a few gulps, Loz leaned back in the seat, causing the fiberglass frame to creak a little. It did feel kinda good to sit and relax a bit, even if it did seem a bit warm all of a sudden.

Bah, this lemonade stuff wasn't bad at all. Maybe he should give one of the other drinks a try next.

"Hey what," he mumbled in response to the ex-Turk, who clearly thought that this was an opportune time for some interrogation. Loz'd show him, no problem. It'd be fun to mislead the guy for a while, even. Yazoo wasn't the only one who could have that kind of fun! "Have a seat," he added in what he was sure was a deceptively inviting tone. "Gettin' dizzy from seeing you pace."

Vincent was about to retort with a, "You sure that's not from your 'lemonade'", but decided against it. It was too fun watching the Remnant unknowingly get wasted. Feeling a little woozy and in need of a rest, the Ex-Turk took up the man's offer nonetheless and sat down next to him, taking another swig of wine. He blinked a bit at the sudden dizziness.

Once settled, Vincent tossed Loz the other bottle. "Just grapes." He said, trying to hide the faint slyness in his tone. "Won't kill you, sadly."

Loz caught the bottle without difficulty with one hand and eyed it suspiciously as he gulped down the rest of the lemonade. He didn't really think he should trust anything this guy gave him, but... well, the bottle was sealed. The ex-Turk probably couldn't have done anything to it.

So Loz cracked open the bottle and took a sip. He made a face - the stuff was bitter compared to the lemonade, but... not that bad, he decided after a second drink.

Still, he couldn't quite bring himself to trust his companion. "Don't think I dunno what you're doin'," he said, almost haughtily. "Won't work. Don't trust ya, not gonna." He took another drink. "Ever."

Vincent leaned back in his own chair, trying to dispel the slight haze that had engulfed his mind. Not calm. Not getting drunk... but still, he couldn't resist another swig. He had to tempt the other man into it. "Don't expect you to." He scowled, shifting a bit in his seat. ...it was suddenly really comfortable. "Don't make a scene, and I won't kick your ass." As much as he wanted to.

Gulping down a little more wine, the Ex-Turk suppressed a hiccup. ...shit. He had to calm down.

Loz entirely missed Vincent's hiccup, largely because he'd burst out laughing at the man's statement. Maybe he was being a bit loud, but seriously - it was just ridiculous. "Like you could," he responded, grinning. He took a long drink from the wine bottle, looking not at Vincent, but at the strange wooden aisles that took up much of the large open space. "You couldn't kick my ass when you had a gun and Materia and who knows what else. You just grabbed Big Brother and ran like a spooked chocobo. What makes you think you have a chance?"

There was a loud "clunk" sound that nearly made him jump, and his eyes flicked toward the far wall - something seemed to be happening there at the ends of the runways, where they disappeared into low dark maws. But nobody was yelling or behaving as though there were a threat, so... whatever...

The scowl never left the Ex-Turk's face, even has he turned away from the other man. Was he trying to call him weak?! "Hmmph." He snorted. "Think of it this way." He said, taking a swig of wine and shifting more comfortably in his seat. Who knew fiberglass was so nice to sit on? Maybe it was just the wine's effect. "Say Kadaj was injured, and surrounded by three Weapons. Would you brush him off and take them on, or get him out of there first?" Of course, Cloud wasn't injured; just outnumbered at the time. But it was just a hypothetical question.

He wanted to see this guy get drunk, and obviously, not even the wine was having much of an effect. These Remnants were tough, he'd admit that. He had to think of something else. "Tch. Why are you being so dainty drinking that thing? We're not on a date." He had noticed the man chuggling it down like it was the only thing keeping him alive right then and there, but Vincent figured if he said something like that, it'd push Loz further.

Loz blinked, and blinked again. "Yazoo would cast Cure on Kadaj and we'd all three take the things on," he shrugged. It was the obvious answer, and to him, the natural order of the universe. Multiverse. Whatever. "What's your point ( ... )

Vincent let out an irritated sigh at the man's response. "I meant if you didn't have Materia, like when you three idiots robbed us of ours." He shook his head, taking another swig and finishing the bottle, suppressing another hiccup. The haze was getting thicker and he was getting a little too relaxed... but he wasn't drunk quite yet, so he reached for another bottle. Twisting it open and chugging it down, he huffed. Why even bother explaining it to a simple Remnant, anyway?

...okay, and now said Remnant was getting a little too close for comfort. The Ex-Turk assumed it was a pitiful attempt to make him nervous or uneasy, but unfortunately for Loz, Vincent couldn't feel either emotion.

Instead, the red-cloaked man picked up the lemonade bottle, smashed it against the chair, and faced the jagged edge against the Remnant's throat. "...you have until the count of three to back up."

Loz only took Vincent's threat with the broken bottle to mean that he'd completely succeeded in unnerving the ex-Turk. He leaned back, still grinning, and settled down in his seat again, satisfied with a job well done.

"Aw, you're no fun anymore," he mock-whined, and took another drink. "'Course, if you wanna spar, just say so. You can keep the bottle if it makes you feel better."

Hn. This wasn't such a bad party so far, even if it was kinda quiet... Maybe livening it up would be good. Yeah.

Vincent leaned back in his own seat, feeling strange all of a sudden. Dizzy, but... it felt nice. ...maybe he shouldn't gulped down that wine so quickly. Then again, he couldn't let the Remnant have all of it. "Hmmph. Don't need it." He said, a slight slur in his voice suddenly. "Could beat you barehanded." As much as he had scolded himself before, the Ex-Turk unconsciously took another swig of wine and hiccuped. ...crap. His own plan was backfiring.

...oh well. It was a party.
