That he had so much as hesitated before allowing her to leave in search of a Healer shocked Elphaba. After personally witnessing the effects of a bite left too long, he didn't feel more concern at his injury!? Whether he had consented or not, she would have made sure he received help, so she was certainly glad he had given in. Elphaba didn't want to lose his friendship over her having acted in his best interests. Grasping her broom a little too tightly in her focus and concern, the witch flew in the direction of the one Healer she knew without doubt where to find ( ... )

Sora was in the middle of a "shift change," as it were. Riku had just seen him off to go take a nap, and he was supposed to meet up with Goofy in the lobby. Not that Sora didn't love being around his friends, but it was a little strange having them watching him every minute of every day, even when he was asleep. But none of the Healers had vanished yet, so they had to be doing the right thing!

He was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Elphaba, though. He hadn't seen much of her, and they'd disagreed over some things, but he didn't consider her any sort of bad guy. And then she mentioned what she was here for.

"Seymour?!" Sora's heart skipped a beat when he remembered the troubles he'd gone through before with that guy. He didn't like him at all, but Sora was absolutely not going to let things get worse by having him become another monster. "Yeah, of course I'll come heal him ( ... )

Despite being sure he would help, Elphaba still experienced a small wave of relief when Sora agreed to come with her. She wasn't quite sure what his hesitation was for, so she asked, "Do you need anything before we go? ...We can fly there, so we don't have to worry about crabs." Her offer was genuine. She would either let him ride with her, or enchant his own mode of transportation. It was the least she could do in exchange for her friend's Healing.

Billy technically wasn't supposed to be going anywhere on his own right now, but the Bryant Park Hotel was, he figured, about as far from on your own as a person could really get in Manhattan, so it couldn't hurt to go visit Rosa so he could thank her properly like he hadn't got round to doing, what with leaving unannounced to go find out that he was marked for death and everything. Besides, it wasn't like he'd cycled from the clubhouse - he'd just appeared in the lobby, in a shimmer of blue a little way from Sora and Elphaba.

He'd figured on just saying hi to Sora - he didn't recognize the woman he was with - but it looked like whatever was going on, it was kind of urgent. "Hey. What's up?"

Sora was very excited at the prospect of flying, and it showed on his face. "Um, I just need..."

Before he could finish his sentence, however, Billy warped into the hotel lobby and addressed him. He waved back, thinking he may have found what he needed just now. He couldn't go alone, and Goofy wasn't here yet, anyways.

Most importantly, Billy was not only another Healer like him, but he also had other powers besides that allowed him to fight. If, God forbid, something went wrong and they had to fight Seymour over it, at least both of them could either heal or defend themselves.

"Billy! Someone got bitten and needs healing," The Keybearer explained. Sora wasn't sure if he knew anything about Seymour, and he didn't want to bring up old grudges if he could help it, but it was better to be safe than sorry. "Can you come with? I think I could use your help on this one..."

So far as Elphaba knew, Healers could generally handle bites on their own, and therefore it struck her as odd that Sora would ask for help. Maybe he had already healed someone and was simply tired?

She hadn't missed the look of anticipation from Sora when she offered flight. "Well, if there are two of you, you won't both be able to share my broom. ...If there's a broom here, or anything that I could enchant for you to use, that would be good. Otherwise I can give one of you wings. They'll only last for an hour or two, then you'll be back to normal." That latter wasn't an offer she'd ever thought to make again, the reason for her hesitance revealed in her next dry statement. "It might hurt a bit though, so I don't know that I'd recommend it."

((OOC: Billy will want to save his energy, and Elphie's more than willing to power his flight there. ...The wings offer is for the potential epic of a flying Sora for part of the next subthread, should you decide you want it, Lynx. eheh... The idea popped into my head and wouldn't ( ... )

Billy thought it was strange the same way Elphaba did, but he trusted Sora - if he said he could use Billy's help, then there was probably something more to it. "Sure," he said, after just a moment's hesitation. "Who is it?"

He was glad she offered for help with transportation - if Sora thought it required the both of them then there was no way he was going to try teleporting them. He grinned a little at the fact that she was proposing they go by broomstick, though - you really did find all sorts of people here, but an actual green-skinned broomstick-riding witch ...

"Uh, I have a staff," he offered, holding it up, "if that'd work for ... enchanting." Billy knew he himself could probably make anything fly if he wanted it hard enough, but he also knew that not everyone's magic worked the same way ... and that wanting to fly for the entire time it would take him to get anywhere would wear him out completely.

"It's Seymour," Sora answered Billy, hoping that the vague distrust didn't come across in his voice at all. He didn't want to say that he'd had to fight Seymour last time in front of Elphaba, so he hoped Billy would just get the hint well enough to not ask too many questions.

"Really?!" Sora perked up even more at the flight offer. Sure, he'd gotten to fly and glide before, but it was different with wings. His usual gliding was a bit more like weightless swimming, and he'd always wanted to see what having real wings was like. "Yeah, I wanna try that!"

He sort of glossed over the part about it hurting; as far as Sora was concerned, doing something cool was worth a bit of potential discomfort.

"If you're sure," Elphaba double-checked with Sora, a slightly warning attitude in her words. "Put your staff down then," she told Billy, "So that you won't get caught in the spell and grow wings of your own."

Quietly, the witch started chanting, "avehn...," most of what she said probably no more than a barely audible murmur to the pair of healers. It went on for about 30 seconds before she finished, her voice the tiniest bit louder, "ah may ah tah tay may tu se say tah!" To punctuate the 'lost language', the staff rose slowly into the air, and Sora began to sprout wings.

Once the two boys seemed to have adjusted to their new method of travel, Elphaba set off in the direction of the apartment, flying low enough that they had to thread between buildings, but high enough that crabs were not a concern.

((The only transformation clip I could find on youtube of her canon wing-giving is in japanese. But here it is anyways?))
