So far as Elphaba knew, Healers could generally handle bites on their own, and therefore it struck her as odd that Sora would ask for help. Maybe he had already healed someone and was simply tired?

She hadn't missed the look of anticipation from Sora when she offered flight. "Well, if there are two of you, you won't both be able to share my broom. ...If there's a broom here, or anything that I could enchant for you to use, that would be good. Otherwise I can give one of you wings. They'll only last for an hour or two, then you'll be back to normal." That latter wasn't an offer she'd ever thought to make again, the reason for her hesitance revealed in her next dry statement. "It might hurt a bit though, so I don't know that I'd recommend it."

((OOC: Billy will want to save his energy, and Elphie's more than willing to power his flight there. ...The wings offer is for the potential epic of a flying Sora for part of the next subthread, should you decide you want it, Lynx. eheh... The idea popped into my head and wouldn't leave till I offered?))

Billy thought it was strange the same way Elphaba did, but he trusted Sora - if he said he could use Billy's help, then there was probably something more to it. "Sure," he said, after just a moment's hesitation. "Who is it?"

He was glad she offered for help with transportation - if Sora thought it required the both of them then there was no way he was going to try teleporting them. He grinned a little at the fact that she was proposing they go by broomstick, though - you really did find all sorts of people here, but an actual green-skinned broomstick-riding witch ...

"Uh, I have a staff," he offered, holding it up, "if that'd work for ... enchanting." Billy knew he himself could probably make anything fly if he wanted it hard enough, but he also knew that not everyone's magic worked the same way ... and that wanting to fly for the entire time it would take him to get anywhere would wear him out completely.

"It's Seymour," Sora answered Billy, hoping that the vague distrust didn't come across in his voice at all. He didn't want to say that he'd had to fight Seymour last time in front of Elphaba, so he hoped Billy would just get the hint well enough to not ask too many questions.

"Really?!" Sora perked up even more at the flight offer. Sure, he'd gotten to fly and glide before, but it was different with wings. His usual gliding was a bit more like weightless swimming, and he'd always wanted to see what having real wings was like. "Yeah, I wanna try that!"

He sort of glossed over the part about it hurting; as far as Sora was concerned, doing something cool was worth a bit of potential discomfort.

"If you're sure," Elphaba double-checked with Sora, a slightly warning attitude in her words. "Put your staff down then," she told Billy, "So that you won't get caught in the spell and grow wings of your own."

Quietly, the witch started chanting, "avehn...," most of what she said probably no more than a barely audible murmur to the pair of healers. It went on for about 30 seconds before she finished, her voice the tiniest bit louder, "ah may ah tah tay may tu se say tah!" To punctuate the 'lost language', the staff rose slowly into the air, and Sora began to sprout wings.

Once the two boys seemed to have adjusted to their new method of travel, Elphaba set off in the direction of the apartment, flying low enough that they had to thread between buildings, but high enough that crabs were not a concern.

((The only transformation clip I could find on youtube of her canon wing-giving is in japanese. But here it is anyways?))
