May the Lord assist us in these times of uncertainty and damnation
and prove us his grace, protect us from his and our enemies.
May he spread his protective wings over us and
teach what is to teach and watch over our ways.Boriane prayed silently on the way to the meeting point. She was going to meet a demon and rather arrogant one, as far as she could assess the person after their conversation in the journal. Normally she wouldn't voluntarily meet a demon, but she wanted to know the one who tried to threaten whole Manhattan and she was also interested in testing skills ( ... )

Sure enough, that black robe was immediately recognizable. Presentation is always important as far as Vergil is concerned and he straightens his posture even further, his arms falling back to his sides and she approaches. He's admittedly a touch surprised that his opponent is taller than him and female, but it's not so much a concern as a fleeting amusement. Far be it from him to determine worth by gender, he had met plenty of female demons worth respect.

What surprises him is that pitch black skin he can make from under the hood and those unnatural eyes. The only creatures he had ever seen bearing coloring like her were demons like himself. How strange that she would hunt them, but it only serves to stoke his interest further. She wasn't human, that much was obvious, and for the moment, that was enough to keep him polite.

"Vergil," he replies, returning the bow just slightly. "Certainly a pleasure, Boriane."

Vergil seemed surprised about her outward appearance. She was used to the curious looks of the people, but she never thought she could surprise a demon. Anyway, she held his gaze.

Boriane gestured towards a side street. "A few blocks form here is the museum where I've found my sword. It won't take long to get there, but we should go instantly, I've seen a couple of crabs on my way here." He had no discernible weapon -which didn't mean anything, her weapon was well hidden- but she hoped he wasn't so asinine coming here unarmed.

Once setting off she asked "Tell me about your world, Vergil." The high priestess wasn't sure if he would do.

It's something he recovers from quickly- an assumption that she, herself, is some brand of demon and that more than explains her appearance. It wasn't so unheard of for devils to fight their own kind; his own father had.

He lets his eyes follow the motion before nodding. "Then we'll move quickly." There's a noticeable lack of worry or concern at the mention the crabs, but he was confident even without an obvious weapon. He was a half-demon and that meant he was never truly unarmed.

"What do you want to know?" He doesn't sound particularly interested in conversation, but at least he's still making the offer to indulge in it. It's more than most people would get from him.
