It had been exhausting work, this last week and a half. Finding parts, soldering metal, that had been what took up most of the time. Once the spaces were cleared and the pieces were prepared, putting the devices together had been more or less easy. And if that Fluterat hadn't needed to see him every night or so, that would have cut down on his time by a good portion. But he hadn't missed his chance, and it was getting close now. Fawful's plans would not be stopped, no matter the time and work put into them.
This was the fourth building he had installed it into. One by the south district. One by the east docks. One not far from the west shore. And now, this one as far up north as he dared go with the enhanced clovercrabs about.
Were anyone really paying attention, they may wonder why so many small metal chimneys had popped up on these few roofs over the last couple weeks, or why any building even needed that many vents up there. But to anyone who wasn't really paying attention, they were more or less four natural urban rooftops.
The green boy huffed and wiped his brow, making sure the sweat didn't get into the nasty burn along his arm from a solering mishap a week ago. "And with the upping of daisies," Fawful mumbled as he screwed a small pole into this building, the camera hidden within pointed skywards at the top. Anything irregular, strange, any movement at all that was unknown would send the signal. These simple, battered poles lurked on at least twenty roofs more. He was ready. If--when--his chance came, he would not miss it.
