An incredibly misguided apology. [Complete]
Characters: Raiel and Kuja
Content: Raiel feels kind of bad about the way he reacted to Kuja's confession =Ta Herein lies an apology and Kuja going "wait what"
Location: Second floor hallway, BPH
Time of day: Man like, yesterday. Sometime after this. Way before today's drama unfolded.
Warnings: You know you wanted some Raiel being vaguely homophobic while trying to sound accepting, YOU KNOW YOU DID.
Okay, he really couldn't just avoid Kuja forever. (Even if he'd rather.) He had to go talk to him and make things right and...and all that, because they were still friends, and...and...and yeah...!
But as he made the long, arduous walk across the hallway to Kuja's door (an excruciating ten feet), he found his resolve wavering. He stood in front of the door, took a deep breath, and lifted his hand to knock--and promptly turned away to run back to his own room.
HE COULDN'T DO THIS OH GOD HOW DID YOU EVEN TALK TO PEOPLE LIKE THAT WHAT DID YOU EVEN SAY HE'D NEVER HAD TO HANDLE A SITUATION LIKE THIS BEFORE COULD THEY EVEN STILL BE FRIENDS MAYBE THINGS WOULD JUST BE TOO AMAZINGLY AWKWARD AND THEY COULD NEVER ACT NORMAL AROUND EACH OTHER AGAIN NO MATTER HOW RAIEL HANDLED THE SITUATION AND AUGH THIS WAS THE WORST HE'D HAVE TO MOVE TO SOME OUT OF THE WAY CORNER OF THE CITY AND BECOME A HERMIT JUST TO AVOID KUJA FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE

He slammed his door open and stalked back across the hallway again and knocked before he could second guess himself. THERE. NO TAKING IT BACK NOW.
(Of course by the time Kuja would answer, he'd be busy considering that it wasn't too late and he could still just dash back across the hallway and shut his door and Kuja would never even know--)
