Roxas was exceptionally frustrated by the news that Sora was in one piece but there was nothing Roxas could do to get to him. He'd seen people on the network mentioning plans, and kept out of it, because he wasn't good at plans. He'd been good - and it seemed so long ago - at commanding his Samurais, but that was a different sort of tactics, and the Nobodies had always obeyed him unquestioningly. He almost missed them sometimes - he wouldn't have minded their quiet company right about now, to walk with them or sit in silence and share being, or not-being. Instead, not really wanting to talk to Axel or anyone else, he'd picked a direction and walked in it just for something angry to do.
He'd been stalking through the city for quite a long time when he passed the girl with the wings. His eyes lingered on her for a moment, frowning, but he didn't pay her any further mind. She looked lost, but that wasn't his problem.
Megan felt something in her soul. Rather, in that pit where part of her soul was ripped out and forged into a stone and blade. Something dark was near her, like her. It was a really weird feeling. She didn't like it.
It took her a few moments to scan the locals and figure out who it was. He didn't look like much, maybe a little angry. But he didn't look evil. Not like Darkchild... not like that place. There her soul screamed after her Souldagger was formed.
He could be like her, he didn't feel really dark either. She flew over to him, "Hi! Where is this place? And... why do you feel less than human?"
Roxas frowned, just irritated by her first question and willing to brush her off - he wasn't in the habit of giving the explanatory welcome speech and he wasn't about to get into it - but her second one took him by surprise. His eyes narrowed, suspicious, as he gave her another, more critical look. "What's it to you?" he replied defensively.
She gulped, "I just was wondering if you're really evil or just sort of evil..." She trailed off as she tried to figure out how to word it. On the one hand, he didn't look that evil, and she wanted to be sure before making friends with him if he was really really evil. On the other hand bringing up how a soulless demon girl ripped out a part of your soul to make a blade to kill the devil was not the most fun of subjects for Megan.
"Cause if you're only sort of evil I'd understand," she gave him a big smile as she hoped that was the case.
