If there was ever an event more foreign to Loz's experience, he couldn't think of what it could be. He hung near the back of things, keeping his distance - he felt like he was intruding despite being invited. Evidently people felt that there should be public events to make a show of commitment to each other despite the fact that it was really obvious how committed they were to each other anyway.

He found himself paying careful attention to the words, leaning forward with his chin on his arms, which were crossed over the back of the seat in front of him. A lot of it seemed to be ways to say the same thing over and over, and he kindof wished they'd just get on with it.

But Mother looked so happy. That made it worth it. Even Vincent smiled a little, which was saying an awful lot, for him. So Loz smiled a little too, and felt that for once, he'd done something right. Not that he'd ever tell about the message he'd posted in the digest. He hadn't been able to make Jenova-Mother happy, never had. Being able to do something for Lucrecia-Mother and having it turn out the right way - it was probably one of the best things he'd ever managed. He was more than a little proud of himself.

He glanced at Yazoo and smiled a little more. Maybe he'd tell one person.

Afterward, he sighted Tifa across the room, and approached her only briefly to confirm that they could meet the next night. She still seemed... uncomfortable, a bit, so he excused himself almost immediately so as to leave with his brother.

Loz found himself wondering what she thought of all this. She'd probably never thought she'd see Vincent...

...

...It finally dawned on Loz that Vincent was now officially related to him. As Step-Father, no less. He bit his lip, brow furrowing. He'd wanted to make Mother happy, and that was great, but he really wasn't sure what to think about the side-effects.

[[OOC: sure, now I get around to it... ;_; ]]
